OVERVIEW
Mustang! Thunderbolt! Hellcat! Corsair! Spitfire! Hurricane! These and many of the other great Allied fighter aircraft of World War Two are highly familiar to a great many people and to everyone interested in aviation history. All of these aeroplanes and the valiant pilots who flew them did their very crucial part to ensure the Allied victory over Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan. 

However, what all of these pilots who flew these aeroplanes, all of the celebrated aces and all of those who flew with them have in common is one aeroplane, one which is not nearly as well-known or popularly celebrated — the North American (NAA) T-6, or AT-6 as it was called in the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF), SNJ in the U.S. Navy (USN) and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), and “Harvard” in the Royal Air Force (RAF) and Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). Virtually every one of the pilots who flew against the Nazi and Imperial Japanese air forces, learned the art and craft of combat flying and honed their aeronautic skills to a diamond- sharp tip in the AT-6 before they were given leave to go into harm’s way in Mustangs, Hellcats and Spitfires. 

Compared to those mighty and oft-heralded fighter aircraft, the relatively obscure AT-6/SNJ is the common bond that ties all of these pilots together and which enabled them to “go forth and vanquish the foe” so successfully. Many thousands of young, eager pilots owe their very survival in the mad swirl of aerial combat and the rest of their lives thereafter to the lessons they learned whilst in the cockpit of an AT-6, so successfully and profoundly did this humble aeroplane perform its role and do its duty.

  • Spark plugs can clog and eventually foul if the engine is allowed to idle too low for too long. Throttling up an engine with oil-soaked spark plugs can help clear them out
  • Overheating can cause scoring of cylinder head walls which could ultimately lead to failure if warnings are ignored and overly abused
  • Engine, airframe, cockpit panel and individual gauges tremble from the combustion engine
  • Authentic drag from the airframe and flaps
  • Authentic battery. The battery capacity is based on temperature. The major draw comes from engine starting
  • Oil pressure system is affected by oil viscosity (oil thickness). Oil viscosity is affected by oil temperature. Now when you start the engine, you need to be careful to give the engine time to warm

Being a great fan of both A2A Simulations’ General Aviation line and their warbirds, I was especially excited about the release of their North American T-6 Texan ever since the development of the plane was announced on their forums. Let’s see if the T-6 can fulfill my high expectations.
After doing 4 general aviation trainers/touring aircraft, A2A Simulations is back with a WWII era model, namely the North American T-6 Texan. Let’s see how A2A tackled this old trainer.

This is a a very nice rendition of KAMA and the surrounding area. The scenery installed with out any problems and has run flawlessly in P3dv4.2. I consider this a good value for the price.

This is the best, most real to life aircraft you will ever buy for your sim. Complete with excellently crafted 4k textures, real to life flight model, superb support staff, and full documentation for a true study sim experience, this sim could probably get your DC-9 type rating! How does it compare to PMDG? Well, it certainly has every feature in the aircraft and again, in excellent 4k textures, plus something PMDG does not have, a full on load manager that could replace Simbrief or PFPX that directly inputs your planned data into the aircraft in the sim. Even if you're not a fan of the MD-80 series, this plane provides a good challenge, different from any other airliner you may have flown, it will probably be the best virtual aircraft you will ever buy.

I have been looking for a more modern look to Providence City sky line for a long time. It is finally here with Environ Scenery's project. It is truly awesome to see the buildings as they should be in the real world locations. I am from the local area and can point out many of the landmarks in the city as you travel over it. Great job Environ Scenery, maybe upgrade the airports just a bit and you have yourself a wonderful gem of a scenery project!!!!!

I have a very very powerful machine that can run the PMDG 747 v3 with any aerosoft scenery at 40+ fps. This scenery however I get OOM'd before I can even taxi with DEFAULT AIRCRAFT. This scenery is a HUGE VAS drainer!

This review is written just to warn P3D users not to buy it. I made a mistake - it's a personal choice and consequently a personal fault -, hoping it might have been at last partially compatible with _P3D, such as a lot of FSX add-ons I sucessfully installed. Said that, I think its price is quite high if compared to its quality (25 MB); more, I wrote to the support service but no answer at all.

I'd like to get this as there really is not any ND scenery. but the scenery quality is not there yet, there are no orthophoto sceneries, the parking lot is grass, there is no surrounding city or buildings.
