Sorry one more thing here.
Yes the installer does replace the default textures with no backup. Thats why you should check this before hand. The product describtion clearly says nothing about a backup, that mean back up your files. I did do it. Sometimes i have not done so.
But my rating is firm

Ulf I realy dont get it.
I have this product as well, and none of the things your describe is an issue here.
The trees yes are the same size, but they are not entire the same.
The clouds are simply the best and the sky textures are super in quality.
The price yes maybe a little to high, but compared to the default textures and this one, it realy is unique.
Maybe it is because of my 512 MB graphics card, I don't know. But it really looks good.
I have boughtoth products like it with the same price, but they did not feature tree textures.
5 out of 5 from me.

This products is a good one.
The trees are fantastic and the sky is as real as it gets. I would recommend this product to everyone that likes FSX.
I am highly considering to buy the other texture sets by this company as I expect it to be just as good. It is worth the money.
This texture set realy is unique.
The trees are good, but the sky and clouds are even better.
Take a look at the screenshots, it shows you how good it is.
I have bought many products from this company before, and will do so again in the future.

The installer would overwrite your original FSX textures without taking any backups. But it's possible to direct the installer to a temporary folder and manually install the textures.
There are two thumbs.db files installed with the textures. Should have been removed from the installer.
I checked the file size for 5 of the tree textures and they where exactly the same size as the FSX textures. When comparing two screen shots, before and after, I couldn't notice any difference.
I didn't install and test the cloud and water textures. I use XGraphics instead.
The product is overprized.
