Discover two Danish airports. One in the south, Billund, and one in the north, Sindal. Billund is the main one. Billund is today the second largest Danish airport after Copenhagen Kastrup.

As the traffic grew the need for better and larger facilities, passenger terminal and apron space, became evident. A project to improve these facilities was put to work. At the end of May 2002 a new passenger terminal capable to serve 3.5 million passengers a year was opened north of the runway. A new apron, taxiways and other faclilities were constructed. Altogether this forms the first step of the future expansion plan of Billund Airport.

Sindal is the smaller one close to Skagen and this region is called the land of light because it has more sun hours then rest of Denmark. Many painters have been inspired by the special light at Skagen
