I am totally agree with the former writers about this product. This product are too low quality for to high prices. But it is one thing that I want to tell you and the staff from Ariane. Now I have seen many writers write negative about the work from Ariane, and many of that writing I am totally agree with. But we have to give the credic for that they deserve. I bought a panel from them, I think in year 2003. This was a panel of b.737. I have to say, this one of my best panels I have ever had in Flight simulator. I use these panel always when I fly b.737. Despite that this panel do not offer fmc, this panel is great. I did spend some money for it, but every penny worth it. To bad, they do not offer this panel on Simmarket, so this is the only field for me to give them recommendation for this panel. So, I will put five stars here, but not for this product, just for the panel I was telling about. They should stop making aircrafts, but instead make panels, that is there profession. |

This package has really bad flight dynamics/characteristics.......associated with its .cfg file that is. I'm not the kind of simmer that really cares how beautiful and sharp the aircraft appears when running flight simulator. All I need to say is they look fine.........on the other hand, the aircraft flys in strange behaviors. Let me explain.....when you deploy the airbrakes the aircraft barely loses airspeed, approximately 10kt maximum while keeping consistent attitude. Also, on final approach when I deploy the flaps from 25 to 45 degrees the aircrafts nose pitches down and loses a lot of alititude quickly. From my 12 years experience flying microsoft flight simulator the aircraft is suppose to nose up and gain altitude when deploying flaps on final approach and the aircraft is too loose a lot of airspeed when the airbrakes are deployed. With this in mind, my final approach is very difficult to fly and gain control of the aircraft. Ok, this package is fairly pricy compared to other 737's available for purchase, example PMDG. The PMDG package is cheaper and their aircrafts fly "Like a Champ." I tried to contact Ariane's customer support, but there support email server is rejecting my letters. If you are interested in flying a descent aircraft made by Ariane, I would highly recommend there 737-300 package, this package flys realisticly and looks good to the eyes. Overall, the 737-400 package is below average in my opinion. If you have any questions about this package you can write me at em00119@yahoo.com

Never again! Ariane's Classic aircraft have fairly low bit textures while the Hi-Def aircraft packs are OK, abeit pricey, they aren't worth the cost in my opinion. Ariane also has very poor support as I purchased one of their aircraft from their site and never received a download link --- three months later, they still have answered not one of my e-mails! Even though the claim all sorts of technological advances, I'll look for other products that offer a better value for the investment. |

Be careful. Ariane products can be confusing. Many of the classic aircraft are 8 bit textures. If you are looking for quality textures in your aircraft look at their B737 "HiDEF" packs that are 32 bit textures. I spent over $100 USD before finding this out. This can be easily overlooked just browsing their site. I purchased their B737-400 HiDEF Piedmont Base Pack and was satisfied with the purchase. Also, you can not share much between packages, all part of the game to sell more bits and pieces. Overall, I would prefer sticking with other, better marketed products that despite Ariane's claimed advances in technology, provide a better value for the money. |
