The Boeing 737 classic cockpit video

Here is your opportunity to join us for a flight on the Boeing 737-300! This 40 minute long cockpit video features a complete return flight filmed from the flight deck of this classical aircraft. We have done our very best to show you the most interesting moments of operating the 737, ranging from external overviews to complex operational cockpit procedures.

Some internet browsers like Firefox prevent the demo video from playing! Hence we recommend using Microsoft IE to view this page.
The demo is shown in an embedded Windows Media Player. ActiveX controls must be allowed.

General description of the video content:

The video begins with a general overview of the Boeing 737 from the external side. We take a quick look at the engines, wings, tail and landing gear. Afterwards we head straight to the cockpit and witness how the pilots test and prepare the flight equipment for our journey. After all the preparations are complete, we start the engines and taxi for takeoff from Rome Fiumicino International Airport. The subsequent takeoff and initial departure goes as planned and after a very short cruise we descend to land at our destination airfield. The pilots execute a magnificent "text-book" landing and we taxi in for engine shutdown and leave our crew for a moment to let them prepare for the return journey home. In the meantime however, we will show you the final moments of a landing in the Boeing 737EFIS, again filmed in midnight darkness. This will give you a couple of minutes to rest from the analogue instrument cockpit. When we return to the classic you will once again get a chance to see the most interesting moments of a scheduled airline flight on our return trip to Rome.

To make the video more exciting we have added some extra features to the film, for example:

1. Some very basic explanations as to what is going on:

2. Imaginable daytime wing views shown simultaneously during TO and LDG on our return flight:

Below are some preview pictures from the B737 Classic video:

But thats not all !!!

In addition to the Boeing 737 Classic movie, we have added an extra film, where we fly a B737 Full Motion Simulator from Salzburg International Airport. The flight will consist of one standard circuit performed manually by the captain. We will take off, immediately turn left to avoid the mountains an after a few more maneuvers, land back on RW16.

And to spice things up, in the very end of the bonus video, we have added some short scenes which were recorded many years ago on an Antonov AN-2! You will see 1 takeoff and 3 landings filmed by a camera mounted on the glareshield of this rugged aircraft (there will be no cockpit instrumentation visible during the scenes, simply because we wanted to show you the great outside views).

Great video for those interested in the line operations of a 737 with non-efis gauges... Nicely done!
