Located on the foothills of the Pichincha volcano, this city was founded in 1534. It has one of the highest airports in the world –9228’–, and at the same time, one of the hardest approaches. Beside from being located on the foothills of a volcano, Quito is also famous for being surrounded by many snow-covered mountains, for its bluish sky, its “historic center” and for being near the parallel 0º –the “Mitad del Mundo”–. Flying through the city you can recognize the most important buildings, stadiums and parks.
This new version of Quito improves textures, satellite images and moving jetways. This version is free for customers of Quito - Ecuador - Boris Forero, because this is an update of that package.

Very impressive, full of detail on the ground, excellent textures and high framerates. Doesn´t appear to have any included LC but it blends well with FS9.
A challenging and unusual destination for a big airplane.
The only thing - I couldn´t find any documentation at all; good charts are a must for this scenery. Even so, top marks. |

Quito 2008 for FS2004 from Boris Forero is a very welcome addition the few pay and freeware airports of South America.
The quality of this scenery is of a very high standard, such as the ground textures like the grass, runway, lighting, terminal buildings, vehicles and the movable jetways which moves very fast.
The download and installation went very smoothly, I had a small issue with the installation key but this was resolved very quickly after informing Boris by e-mail who replied very fast, something you do not always get these days.
This airport is worth the 15 Euro charged.
I had never heard of Boris Forero before but I will certainly check his web-site for other products.

When i saw the pictures, i fell in love with the scenery but when bought and opened up in Flightsim i was a bit disappointed. The surrounding area is not simulated, so no Buildings Photoreal scenery. Sow i recommend it, but its not the best. 4 stars for this one! |
