Malta International Airport, which occupies the location of the former RAF Luqa, 8km from the capital Valletta, is the only airport in Malta and it serves the whole Maltese Archipelago.

This is an accurate and detailed rendition of the airport featuring:

Airfield texture made from 1m/pixel aerial images including seasonal changes.
Hi-res asphalt and concrete textures.
Hi-res grass texture.
Buildings and airfield layout created from actual blueprints.
Custom and accurate night lighting.
Custom airfiled signs.
Static vehicles.

Every now and then a series of updates will be released in order to reflect the current changes happening at the real airport.

FSX version includes Update1 and Update1.1 previously released for the FS9 version. It also makes use of FSX features such as reflective textures and specular bloom."

Dennoch sind die kurzen Tage und langen Abende, wo der Regen gegen die Scheiben peitscht und man sich an der funktionierenden Heizung vor dem heimischen PC erfreut, wieder stärker vertreten als Biergarten-Besuche. Damit gewinnt der virtuelle Besuch auf einer sonnigen Insel wieder mehr und mehr Reiz. Malta könnte so ein Ziel für einen Feierabend-Flug sein; gute 2 Stunden ex Deutschland und mit einer Addon Szenerie auch für den FSX versehen.
