Great product. It's not going to turn your default airports into payware add-ons but does give the default airports a payware "feel". The textures are so much crisper and sensible your defaults begin to look like payware without the localised detail. No hit on framerates. Worth the money.

ROLLING CUMULUS SOFTWARE - 6 FOUL WEATHER LANDINGS

First the download did not go smoothly. The email was responded to quickly with files attached and instructions to copy and paste in folders. Deleted it after two landings. No flight plan loaded. No Copilot nor atc interaction. I had to create flt plan and request ifr clearance. Despite all this the final thing one pays for payware is scenery. I have 7 monitors with three for outside view. The scenery is WORST than freeware. I would not take this if someone gave me free. I can create a better bad weather scenario with Active Sky and REX. Save your money. Not worth a look.
SCANSIM - PIPER PA28-140 CHEROKEE FSX P3D

I'm a real-life owner of a 1965 PA140, and I decided to pick up a copy of ScanSim's PA140 model for FSX and Prepar3d several months ago (at the time it was version 1.4). I do a lot of flying on the flight simulator between my real-world flights to keep myself sharp, often using it to fly a "test" version of a real-world trip that I have planned for the next week, that sort of thing. As well, procedures that allow me to accurately step through my walk-around and checklist are important, so when I'm looking at an aircraft model for flight simulation I want both the external and cockpit details to be as close to the actual aircraft as possible. When I found ScanSim's PA140 model, I was hoping for great things - and it delivered! The flight characteristics performed exactly as expected (speed points are on the numbers, climb and decent rates are bang on, etc.). As well, all features from the real-world existed in the model, allowing my flight procedures from haul-out to tie-down to be as realistic as possible. No-
w, with the impending release of version 2.0, ScanSim has doubled-down on the quality of the visual models, the animated realism, and the flight-model itself. I've tested the flight characteristics in the new model, and I concur that ScanSim has taken the reality to the next level when compared to my real-world aircraft. As well, the new animated surfaces really add to the immersion (it's great being able to look over my left shoulder and see that stabilator going up and down as I perform the controls check!). This soon to be released version is a significant upgrade to an already excellent product, and at this price point the value can't be beat!
VIRTUALCOL - DASH 8 SERIES X FSX P3D

I'm one of those casual pilots that don't like to spend hours reading manuals with hundreds of pages or taking hours to go from a "cold and dark" state to a "ready for taxi" condition. I like to jump in an aircraft, toggle some switches ON or OFF, for the sake of some realism, and be flying in no time. Also, highly complicated aircraft in my system takes a large amount of VAS and FPS, so I tend to steer away from them. I'm not a fan of huge aircraft (mostly "tubeliners") and not a fan of little aircraft also (mostly GA). So VirtualCol gives us mid-range aircraft, like this one and others, that is not small or huge enough, that has modern cockpits instruments and so forth. Does this aircraft fly well in FSX? Well, I'm not a real life pilot to know exactly what it does but the flying conditions suits my needs. I'm giving it 3/4 stars because I think VirtualCol could have spent more time refining the textures they made. For example, look closely and you'll find some misaligned lines outside the aircraft (the left side doesn't always match the right side); the virtual cockpit could have been more detailed, not in functions, but in textures, colors and letters. You can refine all these flaws but it takes time and knowledge to do it. In a nutshell, with this product you get a lot of different liveries (the real intention of this product IMO), a really unimpressive virtual cockpit, and some flawed textures. However, in the end it gets the job done.

Hi, I just purchased this airport, especially for it's convenient price and under the good opinion about Thai's Kathmandu. Actually, I was very frightened after reading here some terrible review. The airport is very well done, but I encountered the runway sinking problems such as other guys. I followed two advices I found in the reviews, but at no avail. Considering that any of us has different pc configurations and, most of all, different add-ons, in desperation I went to the SCENERY-WORLD-S-
CENERY folder and deleted the two VABB...ALT.BGL & VAJJ...ALT.bgl files. All fixed, and the airport reappeared in its beauty. Delting too the awful VAJJ airport with its orrible VFR. Just for the record, my pc configuration: Prepar3D 2.5, all the three FS Global Ultimates,FTX Global+Vector. Hoping having been of some help to other simmers. Fulvio Arman

To fly this, saddle up, buckle up, and make sure your seat harness is strapped on tight. In my ongoing quest for a helicopter thrill ride I started exploring the single seater helicopters. Having 3 monitors with a total viewing area of 60" was hankering for some helicopter hot rodding joy ride for a Friday buzz around FSX Ville. Having flown online for over 500 hours in some nice helicopters such as the 206 Bell Dodo Sim, Cera Bell 222 and 412, wanted a little more action and the need for speed. Stumbled upon the Pyro and it was right up my alley for some action type flying. The thing about having a wide field of view is the fun of doing a barrel roll. This is where the Pyro steps up to the plate. Agile, fast and enough pucker factor to satisfy any stick jockey. Flying nap of the earth at 300 knts, then banking and yanking, quick stops and turns, what's not to like? Going on a beer run takes on a whole new meaning with a Pyro, fast delivery means a cool one at one's favorite camping cite. Try doing that in a tight LZ with a fixed wing. The flight model is very nice, and cockpit a joy for sight seeing. A helicopter of this quality should cost double, thus am a very happy camper with this helicopter. For turning and burning, or a relaxing fast flight from point A to B with great visuals, I recommend this helicopter. Great job Mick! Thanks.

Spectacular. Landing on LOC27 is one of the most immersive experiences one can have in flight simulation. After more than one week trying different approaches I am still impressed by this work. Despite the high resolution, the scenery is also very smooth. For the price it is being offered, it is a steal. One of the best addons I ever bought.
