Welcome to EPBC Babice X!

EPBC Babice X is a highly detailed scenery of a general aviation airport located 10km WNW of the downtown of Warsaw, Poland. This scenery is designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. EPBC Babice is a payware scenery however there is a fully functional demo scenery provided that you can use for any online and multiplayer flying.

Airport history:

EPBC Babice used to be a military facility. Before 1918 it was occupated by Russian and German air forces. In 1918 the Institute of Aviation Research was established (later it became Technical Aviation Institute). During the World War II the field was probably used as a grass strip. After the war the aerodrome was taken over by Polish military and a large military base was created. The facility did not appear on Warsaw maps until late 70s. The military base had two concrete runways used by varios jet aircrafts and fighters. One of them is still partly used (1.3km from a total lenght of 2.5km) and the other one became a Powstancow Slaskich street (it was 2km long).

EPBC Babice aerodrome is currently serving mainly Warsaw Aeroclub, Air Rescue and some executive air taxi companies. The airport has one concrete and one grass runway. The concrete runway is available for night operations. Babice is recognised as a quite dangerous aerodrome due to its localization - its in a very centre of the city and there were lately some tragic accidents. There are some plans to demolish the airport and make a residential area instead.

Installation:

The scenery is equipped with an automatic installer

Currently we support a safe, manual way of adding new sceneries to Scenery Library in Flight Simulator. This is just one thing a user need to do himself.

Scenery features:

Fully compatible with FSX
Accurate geographic positioning, modelling and texturing
High quality photoreal textures of all airport buildings. Textures are based on over 500 real world photographs made for this project
Some buildings include interior (control tower, Aeroclub hangar)
Extreme animations, effects and AI traffic
High quality ground textures of the aiport area are included (5 seasons+night)
Product includes customly designed airport charts in PDF format
There is a free demo version of EPBC Babice airport available. This ensures no problems with online (VATSIM, IVAO) and any multiplayer flying in case some users have the payware scenery and some don't

Compatibility:

This scenery is compatible with all currently existing payware add-ons for this area including UTX and Warsaw Photo Scenery by Simdesign

We are not able to guarantee a compatibility with all freeware add-ons. If there are some issues, please visit our forum.

Demo:

Demo version of EPBC Babice X is actually a fully functional freeware scenery, perfectly alligned to the full payware version. This ensures no problems with online (VATSIM, IVAO) and any multiplayer flying in case some users have the payware scenery and some don't.

Most of essential buildings are modelled as in the full version, covered with lower resolution textures instead

YoYosims - serwis o symulatorach lotniczych EPBC Babice

Dodatek Babice X od Drzewiecki Design w całości można ocenić w sumie bardzo dobrze mimo paru drobnych niuansów. Świetne modelowanie, wypasione tekstury o dużej rozdzielczości, dokładne oddanie położenia obiektów oraz niezła optymalizacja całej scenerii. Wszystko to powoduje, że takich dodatków, zwłaszcza dotyczących lotnisk Polski (co już jest plusem w ocenie :) chce się więcej. Osobiście brak mi tylko więcej zalesionego terenu wokół lotniska, zgodnie z rzeczywistością. Za to ew. dałbym mały minus. Autor też nie próżnuje. W jego zbiorach znajduje się też płatny dodatek EPMO, czyli lotnisko Modlin do FSX, Polish Airports Vol1 (Rzeszów, Katowice, Gdańsk) oraz darmowa sceneria podwarszawskiej Góraszki 2010 (+ wcześniejsze odpowiedniki do FS2004). Możemy zatem już się pochwalić większą ilością nieźle opracowanych lotnisk i portów lotniczych w Polsce do FSX za sprawą Drzewiecki Design. Cena za EPBC X też nie jest jakaś wygórowana. 60zł można ponieść, by latać nad swoim terenem, lub mieć gdzie wylądować w Warszawie swoją Cessną w symulatorze. Słowem warto! EPBC X to też świetne uzupełnienie Warsaw Photo Scenery jeśli takowy posiadamy. Czekamy na kolejne scenerie od Drzewiecki Design. Pozdrówki!
