The YF 23 Advanced Tactical Fighter 

The YF-23 was designed for survivability, supersonic, stealth, and ease of maintenance. Designed with all-aspect stealth as a high priority, Northrop introduced the novel feature of rear jet nozzle troughs lined with heat ablating tiles developed by Allison, which shielded the exhaust from infrared detection from below.

The most notable feature of the YF-23 was the trapezoidal wing configuration. The trapezoidal design allows for a thin wing with low drag at high speeds, while maintaining high strength and stiffness. The YF-23 is both faster and stealthier than any other jet fighter.

Minimum System Specifications

While cutting edge add-on aircraft such as this will "run" on a system with the minimum specifications outlined by Microsoft, we recommend the following as minimum guidelines to achieve acceptable performance:

• Intel or AMD microprocessor or higher with 2.5 GHz+ speed and 2 GB RAM minimum for all FS X flights
• Microsoft Flight Simulator X SP2 with Acceleration *Required
• Windows XP or Vista
• Nvidia or ATI Radeon based 3D accelerator video card with full antialiasing and T&L lighting capability and a minimum of 512 MB onboard RAM
• SoundBlaster Live or equivalent 128-bit DirectX sound device
• Up-to-date DirectX video and sound drivers

Obviously, higher end systems with dual or quad core processors, 3+ GB system RAM and high end video card will perform better.
