Germany in the beginning of the nineties. Short after the fall of the wall. After the reunification there were still two railroad companies. Also in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The railroads in eastern germany have still the flair of the older "Deutsche Reichsbahn".
Far in the north of the reunified germany you can find the route Rostock-Stralsund with some branch lines. Rostock (city of the hanseatic league) with his large overseas harbour and the huge switching yard gives a lot of work in railtraffic. Also the S-Bahn Warnemünde-Rostock is inclusive. Also the branch lines have their own flair and a very realistic surrounding. You are the driver on this route: Swichting in the yards and the stations, carry passengers and goods.
From Rövershagen, where all begins, the route goes through the "Rostocker Heide" the the east sea spa Graal-Müritz. The branch line from Velgast to Barth is also available as the branch line from Bentwisch to the fertilizer factory Poppendorf. With the small railcar "Ferkeltaxi" you have to go from Velgast to Tribsees. The end point of the route is in Stralsund with his dorr to Rügen.
The first time you can find a route with AND without electrification.
