The PT 22 package contains three distinct aircraft, the Ryan PT 22 trainer and two 220 Continental powered modifications, the Super Ryan owned by Rick Hamlin of Wellington, KS and the Stunt Ryan of Bill “Pappy” Kobelt of Wallkill, NY. We are extremely proud to have partnered with Lars Pinkenburg of Twenty-nine Palms Scenery Design who has re-created Bill Lyon’s Phenick Field for FSX, included in this package.

PT-22

5 liveries and three cockpit schemes are provided. The virtual cockpit can be flown from either the rear or front cockpit and all controls are fully animated and may be activated by left or right mouse clicks or programmed to the keyboard. For those that desire it, a 2D panel is provided. To use it select that function in the FSX options menu. The cockpit panel design is a combination of many examples researched in an effort to accurately represent the aircraft type. Special consideration was made for the simulator pilot by providing certain gauges that were not typical for the military trainer but have since been added to the panel of contemporary versions flying today. A Nav/Comm radio and GPS are available by activating that function utilizing Simcons hidden in the aircraft document folder found on the right side of the rear cockpit. Left mouse click slides the front panel away revealing the Simcons.

220 Continental PT-22 Conversion

Two versions of this modification with 3 liveries are provided. Research into this unusual version of the PT-22 indicates that there were 4 made during the post-war years although only three registration numbers have been identified. N 58729, built in 1941, C/N 1277 it flew until 1955. In 1961, Mark Hoskins redesigned the airframe to accept a larger engine from a Stearman biplane which doubled the horsepower. He flew it until 1998, when Chuck Hamm bought it and flew it around the Portland, OR area until 2000. Jason Ball fell in love with the airplane and purchased it from Mr. Hamm but never got the opportunity to fly the aircraft. The Ryan sat in a hanger until October of 2006; it was then purchased by Richard Hamlin of Wellington, KS. Rick actively flies the aircraft in airshows and fly-ins. It has been documented in at least two different paint schemes. Both of these paint schemes have been provided in the package.

The second version, the “Stunt Ryan” was modified by airport owner and Agro pilot, Bill “Pappy” Kobelt and was featured on the cover of the July 1962 edition of American Modeler. It’s gaudy, circus wagon type; paint scheme has been accurately recreated. Designated S/N N11X, built in 1941, C/N 1418 the aircraft remains active in the FAA data base and is located in the Lexington KY region.

Phenick Field

Inspired by Bill Lyons Phenick Field scenery package released for FS 2004, Golden Age Simulations has partnered with Twenty-nine Palms Scenery http://twentynine-palms.de to re-create this field for FSX. It’s been re-booted to reflect a civilian flight academy contracted to the Army Flight Training Command circa 1940. It features a scenery manager program that allows for customization of scenery detail to match any systems specifications and video cards, high resolution textures, animated characters and vehicles, three season variations, and a fly through barn to test your skills.

FSDG - REUNION FSX P3D
William Allen
This scenery is of a remote island off the northeast coast of Madagascar. Being a relatively small geographic area the detail is quite good. Both day and night lighting are sharp and accurate (although the latter seems a bit overly "blue" to me). I have an i5/1070 powered system and frame rates have not been any problem (locked at 40). It's a great scenery to buzz around in a helicopter and it is close enough to Madagascar, the Seychelles and the newly finished Maritius scenery that there should be plenty to do island hopping in that part of the world. I purchased this scenery as part of my preparation to actually visit Reunion last summer. Upon actually flying into Reunion I was immediately impressed at how faithfully FSDG had captured the island's geography. I also have the Seychelles (also by FSDG) and much prefer Reunion because of its more varied elevation and topography. If you have any interest in exploring a small, volcanic island or are just looking for something a bit different, I highly recommend Reunion.
AEROSOFT - CRJ 700/900 X FSX P3D
Niccolò Steffanini
I bought this beautiful add-on directly at Aerosoft. I've been using it for some time on p3d v4 and honestly find it to be great! It's a different plane than others and in fact I had to study the manuals (done very well) and now I am having a lot of fun. I would recommend it to all the lovers of the regional jet.

TAXI2GATE - MUNICH AIRPORT EDDM P3D
rhamses acosta
taxi2gate munich performs and looks great on p3d v4 .I cant believe how crisp it looks and how smooth it runs with 60+ FPS
NXGN SIMULATIONS - CITATION CJ4X FSX P3D
J.G. Stroo
Nice device with realistic, some sharp sound. Large PFD and MFD windows and extensive control options at an attractive price. It would have been helpful if the push-buttons, like many other jets, would be lit when they are active. I may be the only one, but it is annoying that the front wheel steering (twist joystick) falls away as soon as the Citation CJ4X has landed at an airport other than that of departure. This makes taxiing from the runway to the gate impossible. Control by commands from the keyboard does not work (with me) either. However, control will be possible again if the aircraft, still on the runway, is replaced by another aircraft, even if immediately afterwards it is returned to the original aircraft. We are waiting for an update that hopefully corrects these points. Hans.

KINGS SCENERIES - CANCUN MEXICO MEGA SCENERY P3D
Carlos Buenrostro
Wont give it half a star because store won´t allow it. Terrible terrible terrible perfonrmance. With my current rig I run a very new A320 addon that has some reputation for being extra hard on FPS, and still get 30-40 FPS on more complex and detailed sceneries like KSFO with dynamic lights enabled. With the default F22 on P3D v4.1 I got around 6-8.2 FPS when I loaded this one. Besides, you have to add it manually, not worth even 2 bucks. I´m asking for a refund... Don´t recommend it at all...
A1R DESIGN BUREAU - A1R YAK-55M FSX P3D
Ákos Bohus
Magnificent plane with detailed textures and accurate model. I give 5/5 stars for the working wing fuel gauges and they look great! You must be an ace on the RPM lever to fly this bird properly, though experience is the best teacher. It produces a little more hardware usage than the A1R Blanik does. Recommended as well!
