For the first time ever, a fully featured commercial add-on for Flight Simulator featuring Charlotte Douglas International Airport. You will find right across the airport land area literally thousands of objects created with incredible accuracy and placed with the aid of pin-point satellite photography.
The airport features custom made runways, terminal buildings rendered to 10cm per pixel scale, smoothly operating jetways that dock with your aircraft’s forward door with an interactive docking system to park you right on your mark, taxiways with highly realistic concrete textures, full airport taxiway and runway signage, 3D approach lighting and full ILS navigation. There are hundreds of airport vehicles and ground personnel, aircraft can be found parked at custom textured parking positions, all hangers, cargo and airport auxiliary buildings are modelled, there is even a perimeter fence - all under the steady gaze of intermittently placed security cameras!I
In addition to all of this, KCLT looks stunning after dark with beautifully lit buildings and parking areas. Complete airport taxiway and runway lighting is also included. |

Great scenery! I will be moving close to this airport soon and every where i have flown i have gone through here. the only suggestion i have is to maybe add a couple of small jetways to the E terminal but other than that a great rendition of a great airport! |

Fabulous, just fabulous. you guys have
definitely improved upon your designing
techniques! This is the best effort so far
and at this price, fabulous.
The screen shots do not do any justice
afterall, Imagine has never had moving
airport ground traffic in their previous
4 sceneries. I didn't expect it here and
they did not really mention it?
The frame rates are great, and the ground
texturing is outstanding. More work needs to
be done for night textures(buildings) but otherwise, outstanding.
What has impressed me most about these guys
is that they have a time table for releasing
sceneries, say 1 every 1,100hrs or 2 months?
They mention that in their FAQ's & stick to it, that alone is worth 2 rating points in my book. I rather wait every 1.5 months for a good sceneries then 2 years for 1 excellent scenery, afterall, our passion is flying and more flying, not spending hours upon hours in chat rooms and forums reading release date aurguments and wars of words between developers and customers!
That is what I like, maybe not as impressive
as a couple other ones in terms of night texturing and design but, I like the fact they are doing airports never done before, at least not as payware and in such a timely manner, that you
could set your calendar by it, no one needs to ask for a wish list for they are pumping them out faster then you can enjoy them, great.
Keep up the improvement effort and you will have a customer for life, thanks!

[FS2004 version] Exact AFCAD,ground textures ok, buildings are sometimes a bit angular, many a feature still reminds a bit of FS2002. The building connecting concourses A-D as well as the tower are nicely modelled. Night textures are good. Sparse dynamic traffic. On the whole, the airport appears lifeless. No framerate problems. Full AES support available. Smooth installation. The transition into the UT-scenery is rather stark in terms of colouring (but still smooth in terms of borders): the airport grounds look sere during all seasons, the grass textures are rather blurred, apparently satellite imagery. The "hard stands" are missing with their markings as well as in the AFCAD. The airport seems to reflect the layout of 2006 (-2009?), the fourth runway (now 18R/36L) is missing and the parking area North of concourse D is not yet tarmaced - at that spot, there is a building crane. ImagineSim offers a free update which requires the serial number again and which updates the runway identifiers to the state of 2011 (18R/36L becomes 18C/36C). The fourth runway is NOT included and I have not yet found a freeware alternative. In the update, a seasonal change for the ground textures is announced which do not manifest on my system (which might be caused by my settings). If you are in doubt, you can install the free demo-version in advance. It is very nice that the FS2004- and FSX-version are sold together, thus making the airport a real bargain, especially when bought in the bundle offer. Cheap and rather good (even if not completely lege artis anymore), I could well award five stars if there wasn't the issue with the fourth runway. Therefore only four stars. |

Works just fine with good performance in my FSX.
Detail level not as fine as the best, and the scenery is a bit staticm, but definitely a good upgrade to the default if you fly Charlotte.
I have a slight problem with corrupted textures in that airport that crash FSX (in the g3d.dll module) from time to time that I have not been able to identify or fix.
Others have not reported this so it may be unique to my set up.
If you need Charlotte this is the one to get. If you're looking for a random new aquaintance, save the money for something else. There are better regional airports out there. |

Looks like freeware, but isn't. Some texture issues that the developer offered no solution for. Don't waste your money. |
