Singapore Changi Airport (IATA: SIN, ICAO: WSSS), Changi International Airport, or simply Changi Airport, is the main airport in Singapore. A major aviation hub in Southeast Asia, it is about 17 km (10.7 m) north-east from the commercial centre in Changi, on a 13 sq km (5 sq m) site. The airport, operated by the Changi Airport Group, is the home base of Singapore Airlines, Singapore Airlines Cargo, SilkAir, Tiger Airways, Jetstar Asia Airways, Valuair, and Jett8 Airlines Cargo. Changi handles about 38 million passengers a year, with 4,340 weekly flights operated by 80 airlines to 130 cities in 59 countries. Since its opening in 1981, the airport has made its mark in the aviation industry as a benchmark for service excellence, winning over 280 awards in a 20-year period from 1987 to 2007, including 19 Best Airport awards in 2007 alone.
The airport features custom made runways, terminal buildings rendered to 5cm per pixel scale, an interactive docking system to park you right on your mark, taxiways with highly realistic concrete textures, full airport taxiway and runway signage, 3D approach lighting and full ILS navigation. There are hundreds of airport vehicles and ground personnel, aircraft can be found parked at custom textured parking positions, all hangers, cargo and airport auxiliary buildings are modelled.
In addition to all of this, WSSS looks stunning after dark with beautifully lit buildings and parking areas. Complete airport taxiway and runway lighting is also included.

I bought this airport last year, 2010. I must say having been to Singapore a number of times this airport is very similar to real Changi. I highly recommend this. I combined The Very Singapore FS2004 with this (Google for it) as you can use TVS for your city scenery. Would like a building for Singapore (the Casino with the deck on top of 3 buildings!) but Imaginesim is just the airport. I find as I fly airliners I don't really need much VFR scenery.
The Singapore rendition by Imaginesim is so detailed that some older machines may not be able to run it! It is on a similar line to UK2000 airports and I love it. It is the best scenery available for WSSS. Enjoy it! |

I just bought this add-on and I have to say i'm very impressed at how realistic this airport is. I love the surrounding city skyline near the airport. Imagine Sim has a great product and I would recommend this scenery add on. I have no issues with frame rates everything runs smooth. I was hesitant on buying in the begining but I'm glad I bought the add on. I have many scenery add-ons from Europe to Asia and I rate this near the top. |

Hi!
I have most Imaginesim airports and use them very often.
Very well made and quite framerate friendly.
I just bought WSSS Changi for FS2004 and it is really very nice
with tons of details and looks very lifelike and realistic.
So, my advice is buy their airport sceneries; you won't be disappointed, especially with their later productions.
Way to go, Imaginesim. And, keep up the good work with many more
interesting airports.

[FS2004 version] Aside from the usual blurred satellite images, the ground- and building-textures and - models are very good. The night textures of the apron and the buildings are very good as well. The scenery doesn't blend into the surroundings perfectly but well enough, if you ignore the surf between the civilian and military part of the airport :) . The military part of the airport and its runway (02R/20L) only exist as a blurred satellite image and are not included in the AFCAD as well. No seasonal changes of the ground textures. There is no surrounding scenery of the impressive Singapore skyline. The AFCAD is good. The airport layout still reflects the state of 2011. There is dynamic traffic in- and outside of the airport grounds. Full AES-support available, in this scenery there is even a pickup truck as a follow-me instead of the usual van. Several A380-docks are available and with AES one finger actually connects to the upper deck while two connect to the lower deck. Smooth installation. No framerate problems. Regrettably, the airport is only sold either for FS2004 or FSX, but it's worth buying it if you wouldn't like to miss this interesting hub of air travel; If you are in doubt, you can install the free demo-version in advance.
I own a number of ImagineSim sceneries and this is definitely the best one. If it weren't for the exaggerated price and the missing approach view of the city, I would be willing to award five stars, this way only four. |

We have waited along time for a new rendition of Changi and it deserves 5 stars but is let down by one thing only. The airport is 5/5 but on approach their is only the default scenery which having flown into Changi a number of times does not give the overall feel of this airport. Imagine Sim normally is a must buy as this was but I feel a litle short changed on this one. Could do with an update that includes parts of the city. Overall the airport is great but dont look left or right on approach as there is nothing there. In heavy iron flying the last 6 miles is important.....this one is great if you do not want that.
Overall a great and must needed scenery and still a must for long haulers...just would ask that imaginesim in their next project VIDP think about the approach scenery. Well done as ever guys and so needed. |
