WestJet started operations on Feb 29th, 1996 with 3 aircraft. The 737-700 featured on this dvd started joining the fleet in 2001. By the end of 2004 the airline had flown more than 32 million guests and by the end of 2005 the average age of the fleet was just 2 years. In 2006 Westjet is operating more than 50 Next Generation 737 and continues to grow.
This dvd takes you on 10 flights in the cockpit on a nice selection of routes with the pilots giving a lot of details about the routes and destinations, ATC communications and great Canadian and San Francisco scenery ; also included 1 flight filmed from the cabin from Calgary to Toronto.

Not at all a bad video. Although the first chapter consists of routine and seemingly boring takeoffs and landings at CYYC, the rest of the DVD is brilliantly filmed to the point of almost being able to feel the turbulence over the Rockies! All in all, a great addition to your flight video library! |
