Navigraph – Your Provider of Aeronautical Charts
nDAC (Navigraph Digital Aeronautical Charts) is the client software through which our aeronautical chart data is delivered. You may use it for Airport Charts, Enroute Charts and related Tutorials.
Airport Charts
nDAC is the professional way to search, download and manage your approach and departure procedures. The nDAC software connects to a server where thousands of Instrument Approach Charts, Landing Charts, Ground Charts, STARs (Standard Arrival Routes), and SIDs (Standard Instrument Departure Routes) are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Facts and numbers: The Airport Charts are sold by the airport. Some airports contain about 10 charts, others 60 charts or more. Downloading one airport costs 2 Navigraph Credits. (Updating a previously downloaded airport is 1 Navigraph Credit until 1st of October 2007. Thereafter updates will also be 2 Navigraph Credits.) At present there are more than 20 000 charts. You may see the coverage here http://www2.navigraph.com/www/ndac_coverage_listing.asp or use this KML-file to visualize the airports on the globe, http://www2.navigraph.com/www/download/navigraph_airport_index.zip
Enroute Charts
nDAC is probably also the best way to search and organize your enroute charts. Using the same easy technique, nDAC connects to a server and offers nearly a hundred updated, world wide covering, enroute charts. The same high quality that signifies the Airport Charts are also apparent in the Enroute Charts. Zoom to 6400% and the charts will still appear razor sharp due to their vectorized format and the skilled artists at the European Aeronautical Group who supply the data.
Facts and numbers: The Enroute Charts are sold individually. At present there are nearly 100 charts. Some of them are magnifications and subsets of larger maps. Use the two index charts in the nDAC software to localize the ones you want. An Enroute Chart costs 10 Navigraph Credits to download.
Tutorials
There is more. nDAC also has a Learning Center. Here you can read and watch to absorb more about aviation and flight simulation to take full advantage of the tools available to you. You will find written tutorials with clear illustrations describing how to use the Navigraph Charts. You will also find instruction movies for immediate downloaded. You may even play the movies inside the nDAC and organize them in the same orderly fashion as for the charts. The movies are supplied by a number of manufacturers on a variety of different topics.
