NemethDesigns/MILVIZ Sikorsky CH-54A Tarhe & Erickson S-64E Aircrane for Flight Simulator X

The Sikorsky CH-54 Tarhe is a twin-engine heavy-lift helicopter designed by Sikorsky Aircraft for the United States Army. The first flight of the turboshaft-powered Skycrane was in 1962 and the U.S. Army purchased more than a hundred and designated them as CH-54. Used in Vietnam for troop transport with the attachable palletised container and downed-aircraft retrieval with the sling-load system, it was highly successful. The Skycrane can not only hold its cargo up and tight against its center spine to lessen drag and eliminate the pendulum effect when flying forward, it can winch vehicles up and down from a hovering position. After the Heavy Lift Helicopter program was cancelled the Skycranes remained in U.S. National Guard service until the early 1990s.

Today Erickson Air-Crane operates the largest fleet of this helicopter in the world under the name Erickson S-64E Aircrane which can be equipped with water-dropping equipment for firefighting duties. After obtaining the type certificate and manufacturing rights in 1992 Erickson Air-Crane remains the manufacturer and world’s largest operator of S-64s.

This addon represents both the CH-54A Tarhe and the Erickson S-64E Aircrane variants.

This is one of the best payware add-on helicopters ever! It is very detailed and easy to fly. I was lucky enough to not experience the blurry textures. (Only happens for some users; can easily be fixed with the patch) We have needed a good skycrane for FSX for a long time, and it is finally here!

I held off reviewing this as it's my first payware helicopter and I was not entirely happy. Nemeth have produced a patch now and it addresses my issues. WOW! Love to fly it, looks great outside and inside (without the patch they're blurred) now. Very happy with my purchase.

Damn! This helicopter is the best ive seen yet but it is'nt for the begginer, I have spent hours in this cocpit following the proper startup procedures in the manual and still cant get it to start. $40 dollars is a lot to spend on software if it does not work, It has also been a week and no word back from tech support. buyer be ware!.
