Vientiane literally ("City of Sandalwood") is the capital and largest city of Laos
Wattay International Airport (IATA: VTE, ICAO: VLVT) is one of the few international airports in Laos. Outside its capital, Vientiane.
Scenery made with Gmax for better performance. All main buildings( terminal, control tower, cargo and military hangars and more). Buildings designed according to photos and placed as the real one.
The airport consists of an old and small domestic terminal and a new international terminal. There is a military (air force) installation at one end of the airport.

I bought this cam across scenery and large black squares near Both Ends of the runway, and some textures are blurry.

I wish Mr. Lehto had read my review for Onet Valley's Yangoon Airport before he bought this Airport!
I can confirm everything he has said in his review STAY AWAY from Onet Valley until they get their act together. These issues are systemic problem for at least two of their sceneries, not an isolated incident!
The photoscenery around the airport is a total blurry mess, the trees and bushes are 2d and look like they are cut out of cardboard. Even with crash detection off your aircraft will rumble down the main runway like it's a dirt strip.
Simmarket should not sell their products until they are fixed. |

If you are looking for addon that you can easily use without turning your crash settings off this is not good one for you. This scenery has problems with some custom structures that causes you to crash on invisible things if you are having FSX crash setting on. You can turn if off, but as im using addon that requires to have crash setting on, turning them off is not an option for me.
After over one hour of removing random files to find ones that cause this problem I finally fixed crash from most areas:
Remove following bgl files from scenery´s folder to allow you to use runway, taxiways and main parking area in front of big terminal. This will remove certain objects from the airport, such as approach lights and some parking area lights. However smaller one does still cause crash, so do not use it.
Remove:

grss_le.bgl

e_vl4.bgl
Anyway I could still accept this problem if scenery was good otherwise, but it has big black squares near both ends of the runway, and some textures are blurry.
Overall this product should not be payware even with this low price, do not buy unless you really much want this particular airport. |
