RAZBAM Vought A-7 Corsair II Volume II

 
The Vought A-7 Corsair II is a carrier-based subsonic light attack aircraft introduced to replace the United States Navy's A-4 Skyhawk, initially entering service during the Vietnam War.
 
The Corsair was later adopted by the United States Air Force, to include the Air National Guard, to replace the A-1 Skyraider, F-100 Super Sabre and F-105 Thunderchief. The aircraft was also exported to Greece in the 1970s, and Portugal and Thailand in the late 1980s.
 
The A-7 airframe design was based on the successful supersonic F-8 Crusader produced by Chance Vought. It was one of the first combat aircraft to feature a head-up display (HUD), an inertial navigation system (INS), and a turbofan engine.
 
The A-7 offered a plethora of leading-edge avionics compared to contemporary aircraft. This included data link capabilities that, among other features, provided fully "hands-off" carrier landing capability when used in conjunction with its approach power compensator (APC) or auto throttle. Other notable and highly advanced equipment was a projected map display located just below the radar scope. The map display was slaved to the inertial navigation system and provided a high-resolution map image of the aircraft's position superimposed over TPC/JNC charts. Moreover, when slaved to the all-axis auto pilot, the inertial navigation system could fly the aircraft "hands off" to up to nine individual way points. Typical inertial drift was minimal for newly manufactured models and the inertial measurement system accepted fly over, radar, and TACAN updates.
 
Production of Corsairs continued through 1984, yielding a total of 1,569 aircraft built. The A-7 Corsair has the distinction of being the only United States single seat jet fighter-bomber of the 1960s that was designed, built, and deployed directly into the Vietnam War.
 
Vought A-7 Corsair II

A-7A Corsair II:
First production version. Early USN Corsair IIs had two 20 mm Colt Mk 12 cannons with 250 rounds per gun. Maximum ordnance, carried primarily on the wing pylons, was theoretically 15,000 lb (6,804 kg), but was limited by maximum takeoff weight, so the full weapon load could only be carried with greatly reduced internal fuel; Equipped with AN/APN-153 navigational radar, AN/APQ-115 terrain following radar, and a separate AN/APQ-99 attack radar; 199 built.
 
A-7B Corsair II:
Uprated TF30-P-8 engine with 12,190 lbf (54.2 kN) of thrust. In 1971, surviving A-7Bs were further upgraded to TF30-P-408 with 13,390 lbf (59.6 kN) of thrust; AN/APQ-115 terrain following radar in earlier A-7A is replaced by AN/APQ-116 terrain following radar; 196 built.
 
A-7P Corsair II:
Ex-US Navy A-7A rebuilt for Portugal, 44 refurbished with TF30-P-408 engines and an avionics fit similar to the A-7E.

Simply awesome!!!! I was initially hesitating on purchasing the the latest version as I had already owned the previous version and noticed that the sound quality in v4 was not so great. As this version was designed to be used with Ultimate Traffic Live, it made all the difference in the world. You can try surround sound with varies AI traffic. Als-
o, no fiddling around with the setting as the installer does everything for you. Highly recommend this products and very grateful to ALAN CONSTABLE!!!

I like Aerosoft and I buy a lot of what they distribute but this CRJ is a lemon! It has a lot of annoying bugs such as the FMS not following the flight path, ctd's, slow refreshing gauges. It also has lackluster VC Graphics and a weak soundset IMO. Maybe it'll get better with time and patches but the support staff seems to be very defensive on their forums locking threads blaming users etc. very uncharacteristi-

Okay, so I think it's a pity that none so far has decided to come up with a nice and detailed representation of Newark's Liberty Airport. So I got very excited when I first heard that the talented Drzewiecki-team has been working on a brand new version of their New York Airport product. The fact that it includes Newark alone guaranteed I will go for it early on. The detail they packed in this is simply tremendous. You've got two separate products, each featuring three New York airports. This one represents the mighty Newark as a main airport as well as two smaller general aviation or business airfields, Linden and Essex County. The other one embraces two big guys, JFK and La Guardia as well as the busy business beast Teterboro. L-
et's see. The two smaller airports, although small in size, are equally stuffed full of fine details. We've got all kinds of nice clutters scattered across the airports, moving vehicles and people so the whole place comes to life. The ground textures are sharp and pleasant to look at although I still do miss volumetric grass from DD products. But it's nothing more than my personal preference. At least an option to have grass would be great. As said, the superb ground textures make up for it easily so worry you not. The buildings are nicely textured too and the modelling is top notch as is always the case with Drzewiecki's masterpieces and it's certainly no exception. The night lighting is amazing, makes the pilot feel become part of the scene... if they could somehow add the smell of avgas or jet fuel for even more immersion though... On a serious note, these two small airports are very addictive. Linden has grew on me so much I couldn't stop flying patterns in my Cessna 182 - make sure you enjoy the wonderful surroundings if you do so! So far only the busy airports of metropolitan NY came into mind and it's fantastic to now have the opportunity to fly out of and into smaller airfields of the city of the Big Apple. And then we've got Newark. Very, very happy with it. As mentioned, I was eagerly waiting for KEWR to finally appear and I am absolutely satisfied with how DD delivered it. Fine, crisp textures, excellent lighting, SODE jetways and all the little bits and bobs without FPS loss. NY is a demanding area by itself yet I easily maintained over 30 FPS in two of the most complex airliners with my sliders mostly to the far right. Occasionally I experienced some dip into the mid twenties but it's not an issue and appeared to have been momentary only. The whole thing is properly optimized and balanced. On the other hand, many things can be fine tuned via the installer such as texture resolution or the presence of static aircraft, just to name a few, should you wish to increase performance this way. If you wanted a Newark scenery, you can throw this in your cart right now and you'll love it for it is a great value for money. Three airports in one, all three looking gorgeous and performing extremely well, this product is another hit. Kudos for the Drzewiecki-fact-
ory for revisiting their old NY Airports and applying the DD magic, making it one of the best buys for me this year. Strong-

It's alright, works fine in P3D v4... had to fix the gates, because all the parking spots by the terminal were set as regular GA... no gates were set at all for the airport... but I edited the AFCAD file and fixed the issue. I believe a couple gates are missing, too. According the the terminal map, there should be nine gates from what I can tell, and there were only seven around the terminal building... I was able to fit an eighth gate into the terminal area, but there's really no room for the last one unless the ground markings are changed. All and all, it's fine for the price. WIll likely purchase KMOB, KOKC, and KTUL in the near future...

WOW doesn't even describe it. Our cadets and staff have been flying the milvis tutor for several years now, and REAL tutors, and I recently upgraded our Sim to P3D v2.5, then installed this aircraft, with NO other addons or tweaks, and it has blown them all away. It was definitely worth the wait. Good sounds, visuals, and textures. I know there are some issues at the present moment but the AS CRJ works great. There are a few differences from JR CRJ 200, ei, the NW switch that actually moves in the AS CRJ 700/900, startup and shutdown procedures are different to each aircraft. One thing I noticed is the fuel in the CRJ manager does not produce the accurate amount of fuel at times so some additional fuel is require via taxi or holding fuel section. This aircraft is very immersive and fun to fly.

*I own ORBX Global, Vector & OpenLC products that I wanted to enhance with this product* It Illuminates some of the main roads in Europe but not all of them. If you have ORBX Products you'll probably be disappointed. -
I like to fly performance hungry airplanes, wich is why I opted for the "low impact" version of Taburet's night lighting. I guess if you're flying GA or very basic aircraft you'd be better off with buying specific regions of Taburet's Night 3D and if you're like me and you fly FSL A320's or 777/747s AND you don't want to compromise performance, then you're better off with just the ORBX lighting and one click more LOD in my opinion.
