After nearly a year in development the RealAir Simulations Spitfire Mark XIV is now released – for use in FS2004.
The RealAir Spitfire is full to the brim of advanced features never before seen in Flight Simulator, whose limits have been squeezed as tight as current technology will allow in order to deliver a fantastic flying experience and totally immersive simulation.
The package comes in the form of three main Spitfire Mark XIV variants: standard, clipped wing and contra rotating propeller, with further variations in liveries and textures, including World War 2 configuration, civilian configuration and a fictional Reno Racer version with huge power.
RealAir have with the Spitfire redefined 3d virtual panels to the ultimate yet seen and have created a 3d cockpit which is virtually free of a single jagged edge. Every surface is beautifully curved and the panel is crystal clear with gauges that are smoother than almost all existing 2d panels, let alone other 3d panels.
The high resolution Spitfire exteriors are amazingly smooth with exquisite detail in form and function. Each livery has stunning high detail and the exact shape of the beautiful Spitfire lines has been faithfully captured.
The RealAir Spitfire’s flight model is probably the most advanced ever made for Flight Simulator, with many new innovations, including for the first time Stall Buffeting effects, a 3 stage wing vortex generator which is independent for each wing, overstress effects, and stunning flight fidelity with engine torque, realistic ground handling, engine failure mode and a new revised version of RealAir’s proprietary Pilot View system “RealView”.

This is my first (but I dare say not last) product by RealAir and I am more than satisfied, and who wouldn't be...a later mark of the one of the iconic airplanes ever produced, the VC is flawless, she's easy to fly hands on, no auto pilot here, looks good, sounds good and I havent noticed any hits with regards to frame rates (I do run a high end system though....Asus 5B delux mombo, water cooled Dual Core E6600 with 4 Gig of RAM, Gainward 8800GTX video card and a 500 Gig SATA 2 hard drive) with all the sliders in FS9 pushed fully to the right I get 35 - 55 FPS). So go on buy it now you wont be disapointed. |

This has to be one of the biggest sleepers in the store - this aircraft sets the standards for evryone else to try to attain. The graphics, the handling, the detail are 11's on a scale of 10. There are some great warbirds available but this is the best of the best! |

Hi folks! I bought this one here just about 2 weeks after I bought RealAir's SIAI Marchetti 260. The reason of this decision was that the SIAI was such a absoulute outstanding product that I thougt (and read in reviews) this one must be made at least of the same very high quality. And I was right! This thing here is superb. Frames are very good (on my good ol' AMD 2000+) RealAir, you've got my full respect in building those FS planes! Can't wait for for your "Duke". Greetings from Germany! |

Absolutely stunning! The aircraft and VC detail is superb, and the West Malling scenery complete with AI Spitfires is a nice touch. If you don't have this in your FS9 hangar, you are missing real treat! |
