Founded in 1971, Tivat Airport is the largest and second major airport in Montenegro. It is located in the beautiful Boka Kotoska bay, just several kilometers from the centre of Tivat.

The beauty of this airport is not just in its surroundings, but also a very challenging approach and landing (rated 4D by ICAO). That’s why pilots like to call it “The European KaiTak”. Due to mountainous terrain along the approach path, the airport is open only during daytime hours. Although it is one of the most dangerous and most difficult airport for approach and landing and a challenge for every pilot, there have been no accidents since its opening.

The airport is quite capable of handling 6 aircraft every hour, and capable of handling large aircraft such as (once regular) Ilyushin IL-86 - later redirected to Podgorica airport due to noise abatement.

The scenery follows our basic idea: keep it rich and frame-rate friendly. We've put a lot of effort to design the airport as realistically as possible with minimum impact on frame rate. We think Tivat deserved a scenery due to unique and hard approach as well as Boka Kotorska being a popular tourist destination. That is why we also redesigned the Boka Kotorska bay itself.

I would like to respond to previous customer: The ground texture problem is a little bit annoying indeed but contact Djordie Kosanovic via forum and he will answer and help you with patience and attention. Dead links are dead because they are dedicated for personal clients use and exist temporarily. Djordje helps any issue perfectly and with attention not seen on another add-ons constructors webs or forums. Don't give up. This is very good scenery and looks like real - I've been there in 2009 and now I can refresh my memories in FS9 with SkyHighSim LYTV. My texture problem was fixed by Djordje in one week. Now everythink works well without any issues. LYBE is also very nice add-on.

I have bought this scenery through sim market and it now seems that there was a known fault with the ground textures as they do not work. however sim market has no links to a patch and Skyhigh fourm has only dead links and it seems to have had no activity since Sept 2011 on any threads...DO NOT BUY THIS as it is worse than freeware I have given it one star but it does not even warrent that
