    This software is a “must have” for all those high flyers (above FL150) of pressurised aircraft along ATS routes and SID’s where the planning of approach and its input to the FMC should begin 100nm from touchdown, well beyond the range of the basic FSX Atis.
It essentially provides VHF “line of sight” reception as in the real world – although using Com channels rather than VOR channels.
RealAtis also offers a series of other features that one can adjust to your (local) preferences. There is:
a range of languages plus a bilingual option
an option to modify the broadcast content and its pace
an option to pronounce altitude and visibility as digit chippers or whole hundreds and thousands
VFR flyers would enjoy this flexibility of broadcast content as much as the IFR flyer.
The big plus for me is as mentioned the ability to plan ahead – when on descent below FL150, there are many other tasks to do when flying a 400kt jet “effectively as a single pilot” operation than to be distracted copying the Atis and selecting SID’s in the FMC at 30nm from the threshold.

    Excellent program however i have renewed my PC the OPS being win7.Its a pity this program is no longer compatible.Would be nice to see an upgrade..........Robin
