The first Volume of our upcoming North East Corridor Series brings you 8 scenarios, most of them prototypical and timetabled. Drive a morning Regional service to Philadelphia, bring an evening Regional train from Philadelphia via Newark to New York PennCentral Station, stick to a close timetable when performing a NJT local passenger run from Hamilton to New York, or expererience the NEC in the night hours and early mornings while driving freight trains for Norfolk Southern.
The Scenarios:
Replacement Commuter – A quick Intro:
Drive an AMTRAK train on an NJT commuter service anf get some information about the route you are driving on. Recommended to play as first scenario.
Evening NJT:
Drive the NJT 3880 train from Trenton to New York Penn Cental Station. This scenario is prototypical. All important runs at this daytime are represented as long as possible and necessary. The timetable is very strict, and maybe some problems occur, after leaving Newark Liberty Airport Station.
The Keystone 658:
Drive the Keystone Service 658 from Philadelphia to New York. This scenario is prototypical. All important runs at this daytime are represented as long as possible and necessary. There should be no problems on this run, as long as you keep your scheduled times.
Urgent delivery to Metuchen:
Ford Motor Company ordered some autoparts. You are in charge of that delivery. Try to reach Metuchen Yard before 00:00h, or maybe production in the factory would come to a standstill. (Based in the late 1990s)
Shunting for the automobile-industry:
General Motors received a new delivery of autoparts, you will have to sort the waggons, take them to their designated tracks, and assemble an outgoing boxcar- consist for Philadelphia.
All alone at night:
Drive a middle-in-the-night freight train to serve some local customers along the NEC. You are completely alone on the route, but there´s enough work to do for your, don´t worry.
Morning Northeast Regional 95:
Drive the Northeast Regional 95 from New York to Philadelphia. This scenario is prototypical. All important runs at this daytime are represented as long as possible and necessary. There should be no problems on this run, about it is not easy to keep your scheduled times.
New York, New York:
Take control of the Pennsylvannian from Philadelphia to New York, It is Devember, the weather isn´t ver good today, so expect some delays. |
