This Pack features 8 Scenarios for the Port Road! Our first Scenario Pack is based in the early 1960s on the scenic „Castle Douglas and DumfriesRailway“ ( a part of the former „Portpatrick and Wigtownshire Joint Railway“, or better known as the Port Route). In our Scenarios this section of the route is populated with Black 5 and Stanier 8F steam engines, but the upcoming diesel units are present as well. Passenger services with the Class 111 DMU are a common sight and there are some Class 37 units doing their jobs on the Port Route. The Castle Douglas and Dumfries Railway and majority of the remaining Portpatrick Railway was closed by the Beeching Axe in 1965. To run this Scenario Pack you will need the following AddOns: The Port Road-Addon, DMU Class 111 AddOn. Both Addons are available from Steam!

Featuring the following scenarios:

All England Cup: -Easy-

This well-known Badminton tournament sees its first „Castle Douglas Badminton Hero“ Andy Lougan to be part of the semi-finals. The supporters ordered a train, so that everyone living down the Port Road has the chance to visit this tournament in London. There´s none of the local units available, so this service will be done with a Class 37 diesel engine from Stranraer and some Second Class coaches.

Down the Branchline: -Medium-

This is a common all-stop passenger run from Castle Douglas to Kirkcudbright and back. Use your DMU Class 111 to do this passenger service and stick to your timetable. There won´t be any dificulties on this run.

A cold winterday: -Hard-

Take a DMU Class 111 to do this job. The weather is very lousy and the tracks are icy. If the weather gets any bader, maybe the „Port Road“ will have to be closed for today. Hope that there won´t be any problems on our way...

Dalbeattie local Freight Run: -Hard-

Make a delivery from Castle Douglas to Dalbeattie and back again. Use your Stanier 8F to climb up the hill to Castle Douglas running backwards and don´t go faster than 25mph. Running backwards with the old Lady may cause problems, so take a look at your boiler pressure and make sure that you don´t need to stop on the steep parts of the track.

Goods for Castle Douglas: -Easy-

Starting at Racks Station, you take over a freight-train coming Carlisle. This train runs to Stranraer Harbor, and you will drive the Class 37 from Racks to Castle Douglas. You have important livestock on board, so please be careful when braking and do not exceed 50mph.

ICI Delivery: -Medium-

Deliver some Tankwaggons from Dumfries Yard to ICI, take the loaded waggons from ICI to Maxwelltown, and deliver some milk-waggons on the return to Dumfries. (Black 5)

The last steam-service: -Medium-

It´s the last steam-powered run on the Port Road: Collect all steam-engines from their former depots and take them to Dumfries, where they will be prepared for their last run to the scrapyard. Although it is a sad day on the one hand, there´s a big festival at Dumfries to celebrate this day. (Stanier 8F)

All Goods from Kirkcudbright: -Medium-

Starting at Kirkcudbright, you will assemble a train fully loaded with goods from the local industry. This train has to be transported to Castle Douglas, where some waggons are to be added, before you make your run to Dumfries. (Stanier 8F)
