With all respects to the first reviewer, I could not disagree more. I agree with the second reviewer. At first, I was a bit cautious about this Aircraft, but I really wanted a Yak 52, so I gave-in to my tempation. While it is not the Best Plane ever created for Flight Simulator....I am extremely happy with it. I was very pleasantly surprised by the looks and handling. For me, this was Well Worth the Money. I hope this Designer continues to create Add-on's along this line of Aircraft. Good Effort!
Now, if someone would do some repaints. : )

I am very impressed with this Yak-52. I just happen to own a full scale 52 and fly it often. The designer of VAP – YAK 52 has done the best job I have seen of capturing the authentic Yak interior. The gauges are fantastic and correct! In the real Yak-52 as in this simulated model the artificial horizon works backwards from western gauges. A lot of other Yak’s for FS are have either some western artificial horizon out of a Cesena or point to the black ground when you pitch the plane up. The only thing you need to do is flip all the switches on the left panel in the cockpit about where your elbow would be and all the lights and gauges start working correctly. I had to adjust the pilot view in the aircraft config file to eyepoint = -1.00, 0.00, .02 to get a more realistic virtual cockpit. I use both a tracker and an eMagin Head Mounted Display to get the best overall effect. There is one HUGE downside: if you have aircraft damage turned on, the simulated Yak incurs structural damage far sooner then a real Yak! Solution turn off damage, it is much more like the real thing. Snap rolls fairly good too. If I could just get the stick forces as high as the real Yak I could save a fortune on Fuel.

I have purchased this plane yesterday.
Generally speaking it is a very good plane for VFR and also to do some aerobatics. The luck of sub-panel icons ,is a bit puzzling(you have to use the shift+1,2,3 buttons).
I think the plane has to be polished
a little, but the panel and the plane are relatively quite authentic.
I think that the price is worthwhile.
I can really recomend this one.

This aircraft would be perfect...very nice 3D model and textures, quite good gauges. But unfortunately there is lot of bugs too! Wrong animations, wrong navigation lights, VERY poor engine sounds...no paint kit, no correct documentation, and finally: NO SUPPORT!! I already wrote a mail to the author with my suggestions, but nothing response...! So I am very disappointed.

    Disapointed.
Feels totally unfinished, which is a shame as it has potential. The main issues are poor quality panel and documentation and the field of view in VC needs adjustimg every time you fly.
Possibly the shortest lived add on I have purchased. I really wanted to like the aircraft but I can't. Sorry !
Bruce
