The Zinertek Team has developed a top-notched product for Flight Simulator. Together with "Active Sky Evolution" there is a never ending variation of wonderful clouds and textures I have never seen in FSX before. There appears to be no configuration option, so that if for example you mix and match with another weather product you have to re-install the whole package again, or make laborious backups, if you wish to return to the same cloud types as before. Secondly there are not many cloud variations, and again, if you first install with the high res clouds you can't go back and use the medium res clouds without re-installing the package. I think this is rather lazy product development, and the documentation is also threadbare. The cloud textures themselves are ok but no better than ok. The hi res ones have a rather "painted" look that doesn't blend convincingly blend with the sky. They look too stark and contrasted. That said, they are better than the default clouds but there is simply not enough variation in the shape and depth even if you experiment with layers in FSX. This could have been a lot better if the developer had taken more trouble, both in the clouds themselves and in offering more options.
