Aeroplane Heaven Hawker Hurricane Mk1

The Hawker Hurricane saw service with the British Expeditionary Force in the dark years of 1938 and 1939. A very different machine to the one that was to fight the Battle of Britain, early Hurricanes sported fabric wings and a two-blade wooden propeller. Following the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940, many improvements were made to the Hawker design from lessons learned in combat with the new German Messerschmitts.

Not the least of these was the fitting of a 3-blade variable pitch, constant speed propeller. This would come from Rotol or DeHavilland, depending on supplies available at the time of manufacture.

Improvements were made to the Merlin power plant and greater protection for the pilot came in the form of armoured windscreens and heavy armour plating behind the seat.

Wings were now skinned in metal and improved radio equipment was installed in the fuselage. The rugged design had proved itself over and over in the Battle for France and it could take enormous punishment. This was due mainly to the fabric covering of the fuselage which was retained and allowed high velocity cannon shells to pass through without inflicting damage to critical components. The eight Browning machine guns, built under license by BSA, stayed as the standard armament of the Hurricane Mk1.

Lacking the “cleaner” look of the cockpit of its counterpart, the Spitfire, the Hurricane’s “office” appeared cluttered and had no floor so that the complex framework was exposed. A legacy of the bi-plane heritage of Hawker’s design. Curiously, it never changed, even in later versions.

The Hawker Hurricane was to prove more than competent in destroying enemy bombers but lacked the performance and agility of the German fighters, especially at higher altitudes. That said, and contrary to popular belief, it was the Hurricane that was responsible for the lion’s share of “kills” in the Battle of Britain.

Great thought-out routes. Tons of sight seeing. Will be way better once the developer updates these into Bush Trips (something they said they are planning to do)...

This UK 2000 'Port Over' offer's an Accurate Rendition of Luton but the cost of the Airport is excessive and for this reason. In it's past FSX and XPlane incarnations Luton and other Offerings by UK 2000 demonstrated the Excellent Technical Abilities of it's Creator using the SDK provided for those Sims. Now that we are in the World of MFS 2020 it would be great to see this Talented Company take advantage of the MFS 2020 SDK and develop some Ground Breaking Renditions for the Community. I am a Long Term Customer of this Company but will not purchase from them until they provide us with Airports that are worthy of their Talent and our new Sim.

Great addon adding immersion for your flight. You can focus on proper flying, not serving meals, which is great (all this stuff is fully automatic). Career mode is fantastic. You can use PACX as a logbook. Moreover, you can print or save as a PDF file flying report with data from a destination to the landing rate—FSpassange-
r as it has to be. Because you are not a flight attendant, you are a pilot.

I have to echo some previous reviews. The glideslope for 34L seems completely off, and the overall the scenery looks pretty bland at night, and the surrounding photo base doesn't blend well at all. I'm sure DD will address this with patches, but until then, I can't give this more than 3 stars. Definitely seems rushed.

I have virtually all your airports on X-Plane & no break for us & also 2d trees ? Please remove them & get the tree in the picture that's in the middle of the ramp to the terminal Building off. Trees don't grow on concrete walkways ! I am happy to see you guys in the arena but come on if you want serious business.

Great little jet, fun stable and seemingly realistic - smooth frame rates like default aircraft in 2020 ... however lacks good sounds, only an engine, and no other sounds exist. still a blast and well worth the price I hope somebody will add sounds
REALWORLDSCENERY - KODIAK ALASKA PADQ MSFS

To be honest I really like this scenery. It's situated on a beautiful spot on Kodiak Island, so default surroundings are already beautiful but the developer(s) did a nice job on the airport itself with it's realistic buildings and nice atmosphere. I hope they do more Alaskan airports. I already have Nome as well and that's lovely too, although the they could have included more surrounding area into the their scenery. but that's for an another review.
