The Panavia Tornado is a family of twin-engine combat aircraft, which was jointly developed by the West Germany, United Kingdom and Italy. There are three primary versions of the Tornado; the Tornado IDS (Interdictor/Strike) fighter-bomber, the suppression of enemy air defences Tornado ECR (Electronic Combat/Reconnaissance) and the Tornado F.3 (only United Kingdom) a air fefence variant. It is one of the world's most sophisticated and capable interdiction and attack aircraft, with a long range, large payload and high survivability. Developed and built by Panavia, a tri-national consortium consisting of MBB of West Germany, British Aerospace, and Alenia Aeronautica of Italy. The Tornado first flew on August 14, 1974, and saw action with the RAF and AMI (Italian Air Force) in the Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm). International co-operation continued after its entry into service within the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment, a tri-nation training and evaluation unit operating from RAF Cottesmore, England. Including all variants, 992 aircraft were built for the three partner nations and Saudi Arabia (first export customer).

Another AFS product that looks to offer a lot for the money but plagued with bugs. First off the flight models are not quite up to snuff compared to other makers of this same plane, but not really that bad either. The interiors are low Rez maybe slightly better than an average Virtavia cirque 2015 but some gauges do not work and others make no sense. For example the fuel flow never moves beyond its apparently locked position at 100% The inflight refuel fails to actually refuel. The tanker shows but no matter the speed or altitude you get no gas ever. The throttle goes straight to full afterburner half way up. You cannot fly more than barely 200kias without afterburner at altitude (such as FL360 plus) so you either fly full burn at high Mach speeds burning your fuel up nice and quick, or chug along like a struggling Cessna 208 past it’s ceiling. The auto pilot doesn’t have a speed hold so no joy there either. The missions don’t work, though you can technically select and fly them. The issue is no flight plan and no briefing can be located during the mission. So you have to take notes and prepare your flight like it were a WW2 era pencil and paper kind of thing. Unless you have a good memory and the pre flight briefing sticks in your head. Whatever you do you will not ever get a completion confirmation afterward. Rostock is supposed to be included with certain scenery updates but it hasn’t changed on bit after installing. Lighting up the GPS button should enable flight following of the GPS plan but it doesn’t. You have to select NAV to follow GPS which begs the question why even have a GPS button? 2 stars because I like the liveries and it can be fun to fly once in a while when I just want to go fast for a little bit, but other than that the noted problems make it not worth doing anything beyond that. Another AFS WTF product leaving a bad taste in my mouth. If they do a FREE update fixing all the problems it currently has, then it could be a fair 4 star product. Not today though. Based on FSX SE Win10 3.2 ghz I7 16GB RAM
