Overview

Terrain: Europe XP is the first X-Plane 10 product ever released by AWG Simulations.

The product converts available data within the limitations of X-Plane and the source data to provide correct building size and placement in X-Plane. We have strived for accuracy. Along with correct building placement we have also included regional textures for buildings. The product also adds accurate VFR landmarks such as wind turbines.

Finally to complete the experience we have included a set of beautiful HD glacier textures.

It all combines to create a truly immersive experience.

Didn't think much of this product when I put in on my system and then removed. However, more concerning is that I received a note from AWG saying they were no longer supporting this product. I'd stay away ... I received this by Email on July 3rd 2013. I'd originally purchased from their website: "We have some important news regarding the future of Scenery: Europe XP (formerly Terrain: Europe XP) SceneryTechXP sent us the following: From Friday 5th July all support for Scenery: Europe XP will end. For customers who purchased the product it will still function as usual however no future updates or bug fixes will be offered beyond v1.5. The following statement was issued by the developer... "SceneryTechXP have informed us that all support for Scenery: Europe XP will end this Friday, 11 months since the products release on the 31st August 2012. This decision was not taken lightly however we feel it is necessary to concentrate our efforts on more innovative products for the X-Plane market. The product was extremely successful and many hundreds of customers will continue to enjoy the benefits it brings to the European continent in the X-Plane 10 world but due to recent enhancements to X-Plane and the promise of an autogen update in X-Plane v10.30 we feel there is no longer a market for this type of add-on. We are very grateful for all the support and customers over the past 11 months and we apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience caused by this decision." Any customer who purchased the add-on in the previous 30 days direct from AWG Simulations is entitled to a refund should they want it."

Wenn man über Berlin oder eine andere große Stadt fliegt flimmern die Häusertexturen (in der Nacht ist dann überall Disconight angesagt) nur so, und das kommt davon, dass unter den AWG-Texturen noch die Originaltexturen liegen. Und da die Maße sehr eng aneinander liegen, wechselt sich die neuen mit den alten Texturen durch flimmern ab. Dann ist wieder mal Norddeutschland sehr vernachlässigt worden. Wilhelmshaven gleicht einer Geisterstadt, da ist die Originale Textur doch wesentlich besser. Ich habe erst einmal alle Städte im Addon Manager deaktiviert, nur schade um das schöne Geld. Wieder mal einen Developer nur gefüttert. Ich hoffe, dass diese Bugs noch behoben werden. Im Moment empfehle ich unbedingt das Geld hier im Beutel zu lassen. Fazit: Schuss in den Ofen mit viel Funkenflug. Oh man, wann werden die Entwickler mal lernen etwas vernünftiges auf den Markt zu schmeißen. Ich finde das Geld auch nicht so vor der Tür.
