The AA-5B Tiger is an American all-metal, four-seat, light aircraft - first produced in 1974 - used for touring and training.
The Tiger was the outcome of the same redesign work on the AA-5 Traveler that resulted in the 150 HP Cheetah, and it was originally little more than the same aircraft with a Lycoming O-360-A4K 180 HP engine, resulting in a 139 KNOT cruise speed. The gross weight was increased from 2,200 LBS (998 KG) to 2,400 LBS (1,089 KG) on the Tiger.
The highly successful Tiger design went out of production in 1979 after 1323 aircraft had been delivered.

Finally got to grips with this wonderful little bird, I'd forgotten how tricky the nosewheel castoring could be, but I've re-mastered it now. I do have one minor little niggle though. I tend to fly UK & Europe so is it possible to get the altimeter to read in hectopascals so I don't have to keep scrabbling for my conversion chart - which in VR is a bit (lot!) difficult. By the way it works beautifully in VR.

This is really not working well at all for me in MSFS 2020. I get lots of frame rate glitches, and I have a powerful machine. These are issues I do not have with any of the included aircraft. Plus, there are flight model issues. I own a Grumman Tiger, so I feel qualified to say. 1) The auto pilot doesn't work correctly. It holds altitude even when you have not armed altitude hold. 2) The trim is CRAZY sensitive. Trim sensitivity is a general MSFS problem, but it is worse in this model. 3) The airspeed indicator isn't like anything I have seen in any Tiger I've flown. The white arc is wrong for example. I never fly it.

I have looked everywhere for a pilot's manual in order to use the tablet. I turn it on, but cannot change weights, fuel, chocks, etc. The only thing I can change is the panel color. Otherwise, a very nice rendition of "an old friend"

Wondefully modeled little GA aircraft. I consider myself lucky to have access to a Tiger in real life and I’m very happy that it now made its way into the sim! I don’t know if the simulator permits this, but it would be a real treat, if you could actually fly this thing with the canopy open as is possible in real life. Right now, I always “overstress” the aircraft, when I open the canopy in flight.

I am revising my original review. Not only is this a really good add on but the developer is quick to respond to bug reports. Only a couple days after reporting a bug introduced by V1.2 did he fix it. No issues remain. Everything works great!

Bought this a day ago and immediately fell in love with it. It flies really nicely and has some of the most immersive audio FX. The vibrating panel and instruments are a great touch. Done just right. Second day I got the V1.2 update and now the fuel pressure and fuel quantity gauges no longer work at all. Hope that will be fixed soon.

This Tiger is almost perfect! The visual model is great! The panel is almost exactly like my 1979 Tiger. It's beautiful. My only complaints are, the liveries should be more like standard factory paint jobs, but I'm sure that will come with time. Not that big of a deal. It should also have more speed. At the same power settings, my Tiger is a little faster. Also, the rudder is a little touchy. It seems really sensitive. It should be more smooth and linear. The touchdown sounds are awesome, The ambient sounds are great when aggressively rolling into a turn. So far, I love this Tiger!

Great new plane for my sim love it!When I was quite young at 14 years I took a few lessons in Kapiti Districts Aeroclubs Grumman Cheetahs so this brings back all the cool memories! Thankyou so much!

I would definitely have to agree with the other two reviewers that gave it high marks. Maybe the reviewer with the issues can check his control settings?? For the price, it honestly blew me away. Very good quality and what's most impressive is the developer is listening and making changes to improve the model very quickly. I was really drawn to pick it up when a YouTuber did a review and the developer chimed in and said he would be making immediate improvements to make the buyers happy. My only knocks are two minor ones. First, the sound is modeled to the Asobo Cessna 150. Not the right sounds for a 180 Lycoming engine. However, this isn't a big deal to me because I was able to edit the sounds to a previous aircraft I had purchased with a like engine to this model. That has already increased the realism factor. My other knock is the only 750 GPS available is the freeware one. I'm hoping the developer makes another update to be able to select the TDS GTN750Xi. Ohhh another minor tweak I did was to remove the engine rattle sound(bird chirping) sound from the sound file because after awhile, it loops so much that it starts to get annoying. I did however still give it 5 stars because it does handle quite nicely and looks amazing.
