This is a great little program for correcting airline call signs meaning that there is no longer a need to adjust them via the aircraft.cfg file (a process that rarely works anyway). It also enhances the realism to the voice exchange with ATC.
, it does not change the voice accents of the flight crews.
It works well with FSX:Steam.
An absolutely excellent program! My main use for it is to speed-up ATC. You can fully adjust the rate at which ATC speaks as I find the default speed way too slow. The price is very reasonable and I’ve had no problems whatsoever using it. I highly recommend it!

I use EditVoicepack X since 2008, this new version adds realism to the ATC. Congratulations-
, Lars Moellebjerg for your great work.
ngs from Argentina.
I'm using 18.104.22.168 version now and it's great, going to update to this one now. Really makes FSXSE real.
This package is a "must have" element in Flight Simulator X. A huge amount of new callsigns and cool greetings between pilots and ATC - it makes this game much more realistic, when you hear people speaking with each other instead of just emotionlessly reading the preset templates.
hen I tried EditVoicepack for the first time, I was shocked, because I didn't know that you can change the default ATC that way. My favourite sentence is "thank you for the help, goodbye", said by pilot before changing the frequency. Maybe it is a detail, but still very cool!
And the price, which is less than 10 EUR, is really cheap, if you think about the effort put to it by the author (and especially when you compare it to the other add-ons for FSX).
Used the free ware version for years. This payware version is worth the small payment. FSX ATC becomes usable for me with this addon because of a few reasons.
1) The voices can be sped up to speed you best like, this makes it sound more realistic but also manages traffic at busy airports much more efficiently.
) Adds the choice of using ICAO or FAA phraseology for more realism. You get the runway wind direction and speed on finals for example.
3) My favourite part is if you combine it with a good AI traffic addon you will hear all the correct call sings for real airlines, virtual airlines and even GA's.
4) you can make your own call signs and share them with other users
5) its very very easy to use.
This is the kind of addon you will use every time you fly, well worth the money.
I wish to amend my previous review. The developer responded to a request for help and the problem was fixed fairly easily and with his help from start to finish. My feeling is that this is a good program and I support the developer and its continued development.
Wouldn't be too quick to purchase this.
There have been a small number of users that cannot run the program, due to some type of crash that may or may not be .net related. The developer has posted a number of hotfixes that have not fixed the problem.
I've used this program for years as freeware. I've contributed in a small way towards some of the Canadian airport development and I've always found it easy to use. However, this latest version leaves me with a lot of questions and so far, I have not been able to use it as it constantly crashes at start-up. I've posted on the website for help, we'll see what kind of support is offered. When I deleted the program, it also deleted my old version of editvoicepack. I since downloaded and reinstalled the older version, no problems with that version.
