East Coast Express (Part One) London to Peterborough, developed by well-respected team EuropeanBahn, gives you the opportunity to drive a selection of contemporary electric locomotives on one of the UK’s busiest railway lines.

The route covered by this simulation runs from London, Kings Cross to Peterborough, a distance of 80 miles.
With this simulation you may travel north, through the suburbs of London and on to Peterborough, travelling through the countryside of Hertfordshire.

The journey from London to Peterborough will run through 24 stations such as Alexandra Palace, Potters Bar, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Hitchin, Biggleswade, St Neots, and Huntingdon before arriving at Peterborough.

Featuring 23 stations along the eighty miles of track from London Kings Cross to Peterborough, rolling stock includes: the Class 91 locomotive in both the original Inter-City and the current G.N.E.R. midnight blue colour schemes. Also included are the Mk 4 BREL carriages and DVT in both liveries; the Class 43 High Speed Train in both the original Inter-City Swallow and G.N.E.R. colour schemes and including the carriages used from the running sets for both locomotives. Local services are provided by the Class 317 featuring the Network SouthEast 317 Class EMU.

Activities include: Driving a busy morning rush hour commuter service from Kings Cross to Welwyn Garden City and keeping to a tight deadline; taking a Class 43 HST from London to Peterborough on a sunny morning; driving a 317 on a stopping service from Peterborough to London Kings Cross.

East Coast Express (Part One) London to Peterborough includes fifteen easy, medium and difficult activities staged over a variety of seasons and conditions which will challenge everyone from beginners to the seasoned professional.

The route represented in this simulation has its origins deep in the history of the railway system in England and Scotland, stemming from the pre – grouping era with such companies as the Great Northern Railway , the North Eastern Railway .and the Great Central Railway. In this era there were in excess of 100 individual Companies operating railways in the UK, a situation that applied until the mid1920’s, when these were grouped in to the four main operating Companies, the London ,Midland and Scottish ( LMS ) , the London and North Eastern ( LNER ), the Great Western ( GWR ) and the Southern ( SR ) railways.
This was the heyday of the steam locomotive, with such examples as the LNER ‘ Mallard ‘, the holder of the World speed record for steam locomotives, the GWR ‘ Castles ‘ and ‘ Kings ‘, the LMS ‘ Coronation ‘ and ‘ Royal Scot ‘ and the Southern ‘ Schools ‘ and ‘ Battle of Britain ‘ classes.
With the advance of technology, and the adoption of electric traction by many countries, proposals were put forward for the electrification of a number of the main line routes in the UK. This simulation is concerned with that route previously operated by the LNER, later by British Rail and currently, after privatisation of the railways, by the Great North Eastern Railway (GNER).
This route covers the section of the GNER main line (The East Coast Mainline) between London and Peterborough, and is now fully electrified, using the 25kV system adopted in the UK.

A must have for X-Plane. I've been using HiFi's weather engine since 2012 and no other weather addon stand a chance against it when it comes to precise weather depictions. However, the ASXP is not at its full potential due to XPL's API is subject to change, give it some time.

I wanted to amend my earlier review and issue a mea culpa for speaking too soon about the performance issues with regards to LFPO. After talking with the awesome people at Jetstream and running through some suggestions and tests it turns out that the FPS impact isn't due to the airport itself but the area around the airport. I have upgraded my review to 5 stars and am looking forward to flying into and out of this airport as often as possible. Ap-

Hi Guys I was never so disappointed with an add-on like this one. The engine will not start what ever I do and believe me I'm in this hobby for 15 years. Read the manual and the forum but nothing will help.

What can I say? One of the best, most detailed airport sceneries that I ever puchased. The lighting, the textures, the 3D models, the extras are all top notch. Lots of options to tailor it to the users liking and computing power. The only thing I'd love to see improved on are the static aircraft models, but they aren't a deal breaker and can be turned off so nothing to moan about. Right now my favourite airport in P3D V4, this guy is among the very finest scenery developers, for sure. Like Cologne or not, want to fly to this airport or not, don't hesitate, it simply has to be bought, then you will visit there often, trust me. Worth every penny.

I was really looking forward to a decent Tehran airport scenery as it is very much missing from the world of P3D. So when I noticed that Armi Project finally released it for P3D V4 I bought it without hesitation. It is not an expensive product and I knew it is not going to beat Flightbeam Studios or Justsim / Digital Design but let me be honest, I expected better than what it actually is. Price tag or not, the quality is substandard. -
First of all, the lack of SODE - but at least default - jetways is definitely -1 star. Although I knew well at the time of purchase that it does not have these features, I truly expected them to be added post-release. Months later, nothing has changed. The quality of the surrounding photo scenery is painful. Very, very ugly. If at least one could deactivate it, but it is unfortunately not possible. Then the massive exclusion zone around the airport, lacking any objects, hurts too - no autogen, no custom objects, no nothing, only that awful low resolution photo terrain without anything on it, apart from the immediate area of the airport that has some here and there. The "blending" into the rest of the world is terrible, the whole area stands out sharply, no blending or gradual transition whatsoever. Not even with the default terrain, let alone ORBX Global textures... -
As for the existing 3D objects - they look fine, the terminal is alright too and its textures - although not great - acceptable. -
This product could achieve a much better rating if some sort of moving jetways and proper photoscenery - that blends well into the rest of the region - would be included, without removing the surrounding autogen completely. If all these were addressed, I could easily rate it at least three but probably four stars. I am sad that the only Tehran scenery got nothing better than this. I am hoping that it will eventually be improved on, to some degree. At least a proper transition into the surrounding ORBX Global and / or default landlcass, better photoscenery (or no photoscenery at all) and sorting out the exclusion around the airport because it is so barren righ now. The phototerrain depicts houses and trees and other stuff but there is no 3D object placed at all. The whole thing is sparse, empty lacking any details. I do not recommend this product as it currently stands.

Cant give it 5 stars because the VC graphics while being fully functional, just aren't up to the standards of the day. That said it's an incredibly fun aircraft to fly, and a worthy purchase if your not put off by the VC graphics.

Very good! Everything works perfect including seasonal textures! I got some flickering on approaching which I think is an Orbx compatibility issue but otherwise perfect!

Everything looks really good, but I need to say the texturing of Terminal T2 looks really poor. Also the dynamic lightning looks a bit overbright. But overall it looks good.
