777 Immersion is a package that includes several visual effects for the PMDG 777 aircraft.

FSFX Packages brings a new way to simulate sparkling new effects around the different aircrafts and sceneries under interesting environmental conditions. Since Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D don’t come bundled with such realistic effects, we had to think out of the box and create a new sens of immersion. In addition to our generic package, and since every aircraft and scenery is different, we decided to develop specific packages for add-ons. This allows us to push the boundaries of what's never been seen before in terms of visual effects!

Today is a grand day for FSFX Packages. We present to you 777 Immersion. We are very proud of what we have been able to accomplish with 777 Immersion. We have spent countless hours to refine, perfect and polish the never-ending list of effects included with 777 Immersion! The team at FSFX Packages is ecstatic to receive feedback from our customers, which we are persuaded will be more than positive!

Our decision to start with PMDG's perfect machine is quite obvious. We wanted powerful engines capable of producing the kind of effects we all dreamed about, wings with enough lift to produce intense condensation clouds and big enough to create vortices upon rotation.

Wing condensation
Wing condensation is one of the greatest effects you will have ever seen in your Flight Simulator. It is amongst one of the best firsts FSFX Packages has been able to create and model! We believe that wing condensation is not only great because it is one of the most known condensation effects in the world, but also because it is the result of visible lift!

Engine condensation
Bogota, 1900L.
Dusk is on the horizon and large thunderstorms are closing in from the surrounding mountains. You could feel the moist and warm air around you whilst doing your walk around. As you have been cleared for takeoff, your two GE-90 engines begin to spool, and then rockets you forward with 115,000 pounds of thrust. Within your engine intakes, condensation is forming around the spinner and in front of the 22 carbon-fiber composite blades. This is the mood that FSFX Packages recreates through our brand new multi-intensity engine condensation! You’ll love it!

Jet Wash
Engine spray is an effect we believe has been overseen in Flight Simulator X and Prepar3D. With 777 Immersion, we bring in a new perspective to engine spray that will leave you in awe! The 777 is the aircraft with the most thrust in the world, and we believe that you should be able to see what water and snow feels like when pushed by 115,000 pounds of thrust!

Vortices
With the venue of Flight Simulator X came wingtip vortices. Of course, the wingtip vortices were a good improvement from previous Flight Simulators developed for the grand public. However, they lacked that little something we like to call three dimensions (3D). Moreover, whether you were on a Cessna 150 or the mighty 777, wingtip vortices looked the same. We therefore created new multi-intensity three dimensional wingtip vortices!

Contrails
Contrails have always been a matter of contention in Flight Simulator X and Prepar3D. Lots of people have attempted to fix them, but never achieved the level of realism pilots expected from them. With 777 Immersion, we succeeded the impossible. We have developed contrails from the ground up that doesn’t just look right, they feel right! Moreover to beautiful looking contrails are contrails that are regulated by weather variables. Indeed, your takeoffs from the Siberian-cold regions will never be the same! Our multi-stage contrails will therefore please the most hardcore pilots to the disgrace of ‘chemtrail’ lovers! Looking contrails from the ground up will never look so realistic in Flight Simulator with 777 Immersion!

Volumetric lighting
When we developed volumetric lighting for the triple-seven, we had the flight deck flyers in mind. Indeed, volumetric lighting is a must-have for any 777 pilots. Inside the cockpit on final approach, or waiting for takeoff clearance, 777 pilots will feel an impressive immersion when they will find themselves surrounded by deep fog. We believe that volumetric lighting is one of the most exciting feature in 777 Immersion!

+ many other effects
New touchdown effect for your hard landings, new engine start-up smoke under cold conditions, new brake dust effect when retracting the landing gear, under rain conditions, water droplets falling off the wing for more realistic walk-arounds! Water vortex from the ground into the engine (that one is amazing!), and upon rotation, water vapour vortices under each wingtip.
You want to keep in mind that this is just the beginning of a whole new adventure in Flight Simulator effects. We have in mind effects that will blow your mind! Those new effects along with improved effects will be available as free updates in the near future!

Simple installation
777 Immersion comes with an easy to use Install Utility, automatically installing user selected effects on your PMDG 777-200LR and 300ER aircraft on FSX, FSX:SE and P3D v2.5, no coding required.
Since some of you already have custom contrails or other effects installed, we give you the choice to keep or disable them on the aircraft upon installation. We highly suggest trying ours before making that decision ;)

Performance at first
After many years of flying in the community, it was clear from the start that performance was going to be an important factor for the success of this product. Therefore, after several hundreds of hours testing with some of the big names of the community, we think we have reached the perfect balance between beauty, memory usage and framerate.

200 + 300
Because they are both 777s, this package works with both the PMDG 777-200LR/F Base Package and the PMDG 777-300ER Expansion Package.

Works for you
777 Immersion is compatible with all popular texture enhancement add-ons and weather engines available for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D.
If you fly in FSX with DirectX 10 enabled, you must convert newly installed 777 Immersion effects using SteveFX's DX10 Scenery Fixer.

Ready for capture
Our goal with this product is to extract the beauty of the weather interacting with the aircraft and bring those effects to flight simmers. While doing so, we optimized every effects to make the job easier for virtual photographs and video producers. Visual effects can be displayed in a slow motion environment without spreading apart like they usually do with default effects, making it ideal for today's Flight Sim recording techniques.

Hello,

How many of you like me have watch you tube of the big heavies taking off and landing and seen the different effects of vapours brake dusk etc. and thought wouldn't be good to have on flightsim.

Well its here and I have to say was impressed with this product, it has every effect you need and haven't notice any frame rate drop with it. so why should all the fighter aircraft have all the fun with vapours?? looking for the next one for the PMDG 737 next I hope.
