Konstanz is a university city in southern Germany and the largest city on the outskirts of Lake Constance (German: Bodensee), in the homonymous district, in the administrative region of Freiburg, state of Baden-Württemberg. It houses two universities, the University of Constance (German: Universität Konstanz) and the University of Applied Sciences (German: Hochschule Konstanz Technik, Wirtschaft und Gestaltung).[1]
