Trains leave Montparnasse station and pass through the southern suburbs of Paris, partly underground beneath the ‘Coulée Verte’. At this point the route follows the old Paris-Chartres line. After Massy TGV station at PK 14 (‘Point Kilométrique’, or Kilometre Point) trains pass through the Villejust tunnel, reaching a speed of 300 km/h at the tunnel exit, and the route then follows the A10 motorway.

The route curves south near the Saint-Arnoult toll and passes over the A10, briefly following the non-electrified single-track Brétigny-Tours line from Dourdan - La Forêt station.

The fork between the western branch (in the direction of Rennes and Le Mans) and the south-western branch (towards Tours) is at PK 130 in Courtalain. After Courtalain the line heads due south in the direction of the Vallée du Loir.

Vendôme TGV station at PK 162 is situated shortly before the section of the route at PK 166.8 where the world speed record had been set in 1990.

The line then enters Indre-et-Loire, crosses over the A10 and begins its descent towards the Loire valley. After the Vouvray tunnel (1,496 metres) comes a succession of three viaducts across the Loire, almost a kilometre long in total, and the line then arrives at Saint-Pierre-des-Corps station at PK 233.

Route signalling - standard track signalling

The route is equipped with B.A.L. (‘Bloc Automatique Lumineux’) light signals on the standard (i.e. not High Speed) section and TVM-300 cab signalling on the High Speed section of the route where the higher speeds make it difficult for the driver to accurately see trackside light signals.

The route includes:
•    B.A.L light signals
•    Speed limit signs
•    Identification signs
•    Direction indicators
•    Change of electrical section indicators
•    Indications of zones where the pantograph must be lowered and raised.

Route signalling - high speed route signalling

High speed routes on the TGV/Thalys/Eurostar network are equipped with a system of beacons which transmit signals directly to the driver’s cab, where they are displayed as part of the train controls. The signalling information is transmitted through the rails as electrical signals which are picked up by antennae placed under the train.

This TVM system (Transmission Voie-Machine or ‘track to train transmission’) is a fixed block system, i.e. the track is subdivided into fixed segments, each of which has a particular state.
•    Entry and exit signs
•    Ground markers

Customer Reviews
VIRTAVIA - F-104 STARFIGHTER FSX STEAM EDITION DLC
David
Seems like there should be a few more liveries for this? What you do get hear is nice enough, but just not very many. Also there is a issue with the texture files causing blacked out cockpits and broken shadowing around the exterior. Just ugly as can be. The issues required me to contact Virtavia Who quickly gave me a very easy fix and totally resolved the issue. Such good customer service.
LIONHEART - ROBIN DR400/180 FSX P3D
David
The Robin is a unique plane and for some reason difficult to locate a solid sim representation. I chose this one in a whim and so far feel pretty good about it. It’s a really nice plane for touring under 10,000 feet. Has a fair amount of power for short flights with lesser fuel and perform well even loaded up. There’s a nice selection of liveries included. The interior looks like any Robin I’ve ever seen and is detailed nicely. It sounds right and flies right. Lionheart always offers very pretty planes and this is slightly less eye popping, but the Robin isn’t really eye popping anyway. It’s a bird that may need some acquired taste. For the money it’s a solid purchase and I’m not finding any problems with it after my first 4 hours of flying.
FLYSIMWARE - SUPER HUEY X FSX P3D
David
I really want to rate this higher but there’s too many significant bugs holding it back. First the models are fantastic and fly realistically. Easy to hover and control. Nicely detailed in and out. Few actual functioning switches, knobs and dials. Just the essentials work mostly. The most glaring drawback is that FSX SE version does not have any audio! Yes I mean a totally silent engine. However the developer web sight has a solution that I found to be really quite simple. Basically you just alias sound from another aircraft, I used the Augusta 101 helicopter. It’s not quite the right sound at all, but It’ll do for now. Next issue is that the variant with the rescue basket has a problem. The basket can be loaded and dumped of its human cargo but it only move half way out from the chopper and does not raise or lower at all. The fire tank equipped model doesn’t show the dumping of water effects. The copilot altimeter doesn’t work. I can forgive the little things but the nonfunctional rescue basket is a big disappointment. So really this is a mediocre Huey and I only give it 3 stars because I am a big fan of this chopper and the modeling is better than good. If you’re a fan of the Huey like me and can forgive those issues then consider buying but ONLY on sale. No way it’s worth full price as is.
VIRTAVIA - C-17A GLOBEMASTER III FSX STEAM EDITION DLC
David
Yes! Totally worth adding. Basically .50 cents per livery and they look very good.
VIRTAVIA - C-17A GLOBEMASTER III FSX STEAM EDITION
David
Virtavia makes pretty cheap but often fun and serviceable add on planes, so you should temper your expectations. This C17 is actually better than most of their offerings. It’s not a pro simulation by any means, but it is a good looking representation of this iconic beast. I see the McChord version ( available by buying the C17 DLC) fly overhead frequently, some times appearing to do circuits. That said the details are pretty spot on. The roaring engines when heard from the outside is a little understated here though, but still a quality sound. All doors open by the ramp requires you map the wing fold action to a key, it’s easy to do but not obvious to first few glances. If you don’t map the wing fold to a key then the ramp will only open half way, or such as it would when dumping cargo or soldiers. Once mapped (only works on the ground) pushing that assigned key will further extend the ramp to fully deployed and touching the ground. Just remember use regular door open ( Shift+E+2) first. For the money you can’t go wrong and buying the add on DLC liveries will be something worth getting as well. Another note, Virtavia has excellent and speedy customer service. Just be polite and provide brief specific details like you would anywhere and they will get back to you lickity split. They have helped me solve every issue I’ve ever had with very simple and clear instructions. Can’t say the same for certain other developers who put their ego ahead of service and facts.
FSXCENERY - CYQR REGINA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FSX P3D
Tom
I've never had the pleasure of visiting Regina, but FSXcenery seems to be paying more attention to detail than in many of their past products. Although, I can't vouch for the accuracy of the layout the product quality seems to be improving with each release. Good job Fernando and company, keep it up friends!
PROTERRAIN - COLOMBO INTL. AIRPORT P3D FSX
Imal
Tried PT Colombo Intl. Airport scenery in P3D4, & found working fine. No noticeable frames effect. Runway details are accurate to show even faded old markings. SLAF museum a/c can be seen, when using eastern taxiway. Night time dynamic lighting is good.  Big thank you to the developer for the details, & scenery is highly recommended for SL aviation fans. Few things to consider in the next update: 1. Scenery is matching Google maps details 100%, but limited to about 2nm radius from runway.  This is rather too limited for a VFR circuit, even for a small Cessna a/c. Increase the scenery to include at least 5nm 22 approach path, & up to the shoreline in 04. 2. Include few parked a/c on the aprons & inside hangars. 3. Perimeter road is hardly visible, though vehicles can be seen.  4. Better to identify the scenery as 'Colombo Ratmalana Airport', to avoid confusing with VCBI. If southern ground scenery is extended up to VCCN, scenery will be really outstanding.
FSDG LITE - NAIROBI FSX P3D
Stephen
This is a great scenery! The detail is very nice. Night lighting is beautiful. Very happy with this African airport. FSDG, please do some more African cities like this! Thank you.

This scenery is amazing. The performance is great and the airport looks really good at P3Dv4! I love it
