The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 is a jet fighter aircraft developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich for the Soviet Union. The MiG-15 was one of the first successful jet fighters to incorporate swept wings to achieve high transonic speeds. In combat over Korea, it outclassed straight-winged jet day fighters, which were largely relegated to ground-attack roles, and was quickly countered by the similar American swept-wing North American F-86 Sabre.
The MiG-15 is believed to have been one of the most produced jet aircraft with more than 13,000 manufactured. Licensed foreign production may have raised the production total to almost 18,000. The MiG-15 remains in service with the Korean People's Army Air Force as an advanced trainer.

There is a basic plane here no more and not less. The purpled color of the cockpit is way far from the dark green in the real one. I just hope that Mikoyan-Gurevich concept will see life soon.
Please also head over to flightsim.to and support the Mig-15 over there for free. Exact same model, working interior, working animations and in my opinion, a better flight model that doesn't fly like a brick. I commend MSCENERY for taking the initiative and working on his interpretation of the Mig-15. Unfortunately two developers were working the same model from the same Modeler who had his work posted on a 3D site for royalty free. I'm not sure about MSCENERY but Aerosoar got explicit permission to use his work and distribute it as Freeware. Ours is in the Beta Test phase, available for free and will continue to improve. Looks like we have a friendly competition going with this release. Best of luck and once again, congratulations on your release. Hopefully next time we don't have confusion from our 3D Modeler and release the same plane days apart.
As usual with this developer, things aren't what they seem.
1) The claim that 90% of the cockpit switches are animated is false. Probably closer to 60% - lots of switches do have the "hand" icon, but won't animate or do anything. The ones that do animate usually don't actually do anything other than being animated switches.
2) Artificial Horizon doesn't work
3) I couldn't retract landing gear
4) No effects outside - no engine heat, no pilot visible outside.
I can't recommend this to anyone, unfortunately.
