Touchdown Sim Designs is proud to announce the release of the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport for Flight Simulator X.
Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (IATA:GSP, ICAO:KGSP) is located in Greer South Carolina, which is located halfway between Greenville and Spartanburg. The airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the United States, and in 2011 served over 1.7 million passengers making it the second busiest airport in South Carolina.
The airport has 6 airlines (Delta, American, US Airways, Southwest, Allegiant Air, and United) located on two concourse that provide non-stop sevice to cities such as Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, New York, and Orlando. Federal Express also has a major package facility on the north side of the airport, and UPS uses a facility located near the terminal.
Some of the features of the scenery are:
Fully detailed KGSP Airport
Custom runways, taxiways, ramps and buildings built using Gmax
Photoreal Ground Scenery
Ground Traffic animations on the airport, and surrounding roadways
This is a 3-4 star quality scenery, but like the other reviewer, I too am having issues with the fountains looking like gushing oil wells. A problem like this can normally be fixed by the developer, but this developer does not respond to customers on the forums and there is no other contact information. This issue has been essentially ignored by the developer for several days now. Don't let the rhetoric on the front page of the developer website fool you. It's a shame really, because I was really excited to see a developer focus on regional airports. I'm sorry to say that you should keep looking. I would like a refund on this product since I am getting zero support.
Pretty good rendition, but not without issues. Fountains look like black oil gushers. There are two of them so kind of hard not to notice. Appears as though this project has been abandoned. No response on website forums for several months. Posted some issues along with another guy 4 days ago and again since. No reply. Not good. Might want to hold off on this one folks until we see that it is still alive. For the most part it looks really good, but without support it is not a good purchase. I would have gladly given 4 stars because I am intimately familiar with the airport. It lacks small details, surely for frame-rate sake but the obvious issues like the fountains cannot be overlooked. Mission statement promises frequent updates. I would be happy with a response to my concerns on their forums. That said, not ready for prime time...
