F-111 'Aardvark' Set - FSX Steam Edition

The F-111 was an extremely advanced design using the "swing wing" or variable geometry airfoil. Powered by fuel-efficient turbofan engines, the aircraft went through a long and varied evolutionary process, emerging as perhaps the finest long-range interdictor of the 1980s. It served in many roles, flying thousands of combat sorties, and carried a vast array of weaponry, including nuclear payloads, missiles, and bombs. It could also pack a Vulcan cannon. Total stores amounted to 31,500 pounds for any one mission, plus fuel and crew. The last operational F-111's were retired in 2011 by the Royal Australian Air Force.

I really like this plane. The cockpits are better than usual for Virtavia. The flight model feels right so far as one can tell based on documentation of actual plane and having zero real world experience. The fuel dump and burn effects are a nice addition. The F111 is a underrated aircraft so far as fandom is concerned and really is a spectacular bird. Really nice to fly though I think the fuel consumption rate is flawed a bit. You can fly a lot longer with afterburners than you should by a long distance. Plus it “over speeds” too soon at M2.2+ when it should be able to achieve M2.4+ safely when above FL400. The add on dlc is worth it.
