Welcome to a new float base pack! FS2020 was released without any operable seaplane bases. Our scenery expansions address that shortcoming.

This scenery expansion adds some important detail and also makes it possible to use flight planners in MSFS, whether LittleNavMap or the default FS map. Now your flights have a new destination and departure, enhanced by terraforming, lighting, new docks and support buildings.

This pack includes Nanaimo, Ganges Harbor, Pitt Meadows, Harrison Lake and CYYJ, both the float dock at the airport and Victoria Harbor, and the Kelowna float dock on Okanagan lake.

Nanaimo is a city on the east coast of Vancouver Island with a population of 90000, roughly 110 km northwest of Victoria. Its a major hub for air traffic going north on the island or west to Tofino or Ucluelet.

Ganges Harbor on Saltspring Island lies just off the eastern shore of Vancouver Island, and is an important destination for explorers and backpackers. The harbor is one of the busiest on the south coast of British Columbia.

Victoria is the capital of the province of British Columbia and it sits on the southern tip of Vancouver Island on the Saanich Peninsula. With a population of 90,000 in the metropolitan area, the Greater Victoria area sits around 360,000. With nearly a mediterranean climate and annual rainfall considerably less than soggy Vancouver, its a year round destination for travelers.

Victoria Airport sits on the north end of the Saanich Peninsula. This expansion adds the float dock on the west side of the airport. We have also added the docks and scenery in Victoria Harbor on the south end of the Peninsula. You can't set these docks as a destination but you can add them to your flight plan in an add-on planner like LittleNavMap.

Pitt Meadows on the Fraser River lies just east of metro Vancouver. Its a transition point for those heading for locations up the coast or in the BC interior.

Harrison Lake is one of those southern BC destinations that act as a gateway north and east. Its a beautiful, massive lake set in the rugged coastal mountains and with a well known hot spring resort.

Kelowna in the arrid BC interior is the third largest metropolitan area in the province. Its a year round playground, offering summer watersports and wine tours, and skiing in the winter at the nearby Big White mountain resort. As the largest center in the Okanagan region of southern BC, Kelowna is the jumping off point for northern, southern and eastern destinations and it also supports a busy international airport.

Simply drop these 5 folders into your FS2020 Community directory. The Community directory will be found in the main folder for Flight Sim. To fly, search for CAC8 or Nanaimo Seaplane base on the FS map.
