ABOUT THE MISSION
WireBird Simulation is proud to introduce our first foray into the flight sim market - a H135 helicopter mission over London featuring real British voice actors. All that's missing to complete this fun mission is you - the pilot.
Inspired by the excellent FSX-style missions, we decided to begin work on developing voiced missions for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and we are confident you will love this one!
Your job as a new WireBird Media pilot is to fly a professional photographer to various landmarks across London on behalf of the British Tourism Agency. You will begin cold and dark on the ramp at London City Airport on a warm summer's morning, where your co-pilot will chat to ATC and obtain permission to fly to the edge of the airport to collect the photographer. From there, the journey is up to you - you will navigate your way across the breathtaking city of London using the map provided to you by the tourism agency, before finally touching down at Heathrow International airport.
While flying, you will be asked to fly slowly or hover next to some of London's finest landmarks, such as the Tower of London, Westminster Palace, the O2 arena, the London Eye and more. And you know what's great? The order is entirely up to you! Your co-pilot and the photographer will let you know when it's time to move on, and there are 12 compulsory objectives for you to visit and 3 optional objectives that are slightly further afield, such as the incredible Hampton Court Palace.
The download includes a custom exclusive WireBird Media livery for the H135 helicopter, a PDF with installation instructions and an FAQ about the mission, and an ultra large map with marked waypoints, which you can refer to in the journey. You may also turn on navigational POIs in the menu to help you find the locations if you don't enjoy the challenge of navigation.
The mission is entirely replayable, although take note that you will first have to delete your save file for the mission due to limitations with the MSFS SDK. This is super simple and instructions for it can be found in the PDF that comes in this download.
