This is a very nice-looking and very good aircraft. It is a legend, especially in Middle-Eastern Europe, for me as a Pole it has a special place in my heart, in my own personal history. The model is beautiful outside, and immersive inside. Gauges are typical for soviet cockpits and are magnificently reproduced, all very readable and reliable. Every switch that works does something - no dummies, no decorations. I am new to helicopters, and learning to fly in Mi-2 is fun. I am sure it would be a very pleasurable experience for seasoned rotorcraft pilots. It seems quite easy to fly, as even rookie here was able to make a safe flight - take off, cruise and land. Hovering is another story, but this is expected. The comprehensive manual is your best friend. Minor drawbacks (not worthy any deductions from well-deserved 5 stars), that are possible subject to updates, are: rear/cargo doors not opening and said manual, although informative and in-depth, requires some knowledge about rotorcrafts to get out the full information. A tutorial-for-newbies section (like Tutorial Flights in Just Flight Fokker 28) with step-by step instructions and/or Youtube Tutorials that many great makers do, would be a most welcomed addition. Finally, this is something really fun to fly, great experience and something to fly for long time - it will not dust in my hangar for sure. I got it with release discount - it feels like Christmas arrived really early this year!

Very nice models exterior and interior. Detailed. I give 4 stars cause as a former pilot-cadet of Mi-2 still see some things to fix. Most important to fix are: 1, In real Mi-2 is mach more manueverable especially when he's light wight (450L fuel) 2, When turn power collector to max engines spool to 97% and later working with collective stroke lever automatically,. 3. After cut fuel off engines faster turn off but main rotor roter bit longer. Model is very very nice. Regards

Hi, After flying the Mi-8 and Mi-24 in DCS, I just had to get the Mi-2 for MSFS. What a lovely machine this is. I absolutely adore the flight model. It is an absolute delight to fly this helicopter, although I am not sure if the real one is this easy to fly. This helicopter behaves so smooth and balanced. I only wish that there would be a manual which explains the start up from cold and dark. I had to start the Mil-2 by trial and error. Note: Digital Aeronautics replied to me and advised me where to find a complete checklist in their manual which comes with the helicopter. The developers quick response was a nice experience. For helicopter enthusiasts I can highly recommend the Mi-2. BTW, although it is made for MSFS 2020, I have tried it in both MSFS 2020 and in MSFS 2024. It seems to work in MSFS 2024 with some minor issues like a reversed throttle animation (although the throttle works fine) and a few switches not being recognized.

For a first time developer this is amazing. For any developer it’s amazing. It sounded like an ambitious project for months and I was skeptical, but DA pulled it off. Finally a helicopter that feels realistic (that isn’t made by TAOG) and looks absolutely stunning!  I mean seriously good looking inside and out and all around. The sounds are detailed and excellent. No mute switches or the likes. Great lighting rounds out a mostly stellar product. While it’s a real achievement in development it’s also needs a few things to put it at the top of the top. Relatively minor things but still important I think. First damage modeling is a common “study level” feature, but it’s missing here making flying this great helicopter totally without consequence and that contradicts the “study level” expectations. Also only the pilots door opens and seemingly only half way. At least make the passenger door in the back able to be opened and closed.  An in-sim checklist is a must.  Something nice would be an option to add a GPS device if wanted.  Then there are the fun bits and bobs like a Bambi bucket, spray kit etc that while unnecessary would certainly be very nice. As is the Hoplite seems to have arrived meeting most expectations bringing us a true classic that shows some love for it.

Very nicely detailed. A lot of work went into the systems, it feels alive! One thing I could not say about 80% of MSFS aircraft and helicopters. Flies believable, really fun to hover. Bought it the moment I saw its out and I didn't get disappointed. VERY detailed, great artwork, great sounds, a lot of work went into it all. Especially regarding this being their first release... wow! Well worth the money - and the simulation as well as the helicopter simulated are interesting and quirky enough to go back to it again and again. Would love to see some engine damage getting modeled in the future, maybe an agricultural sprayer variant... but I am very happy for now and quite some while.
