This game is DEFINITELY worth buying! Basic Idea is you start out as a FF recruit and work your way up the ranks. You start out driving around the airport inspecting fences (only once or maybe twice). As you progress you can unlock new equipment like the fire engine or the Panther, which is the crash truck on the cover. I'm currently a FF/EMT with some ARFF experience and this is by far not a simulator in the truest sense, but it does give you a basic idea and it's really fun! From what I can gather the airport is based off of Cologne Bonn Airport in Germany (which you can figure out by reading the credits). The graphics are OK and the only glitch I've found so far is one of the chief's vehicles won't move occasionally (usually at night) during the large callouts and you can only tell where it is by the flashing lights on the ground or when you slam into an invisible vehicle. Some of the missions later on can get kind of tedious and repetitive, but it seems to throw in a few new ones every now and then to keep you on your toes. Overall though you're probably reading this for the answer to 2 or 3 questons: Is it realistic: Without spending hundreds of dollars it's about as realistic as it'll get, which is still pretty good! Is it fun: Absolutely! Is it worth the money: I say definitely! |

Decent game I like the concept of it. Could be alittle more detailed, such as more features, tools, etc. Only real issue I have with the game is the graphics, the lighting has issues around morning and evening in the fact it gets so dark its near impossible to see, and with no brightness adjustments in game you have to suffer, and also the details in general could be smoother. So overall I would give it a 3 |

Airport Firefighter Simulator is worth the money. This is a decent game. It does need a few tweaks and more interaction with people and also radio communication / radio chatter, but other then this its great. you work your way up the ranks, get assigned to a vehicle, get to test its equipment and wait for calls. The station has an alarm system for when a call comes in aswell as an Infomation screen about what your resonding too. Graphics are decent but could be made better in the next release. to me this is a 3 star game as it is, I hope they can improve with a 2012 version. Good Work Rondomedia. |
