FSADDON - ORCAS ISLAND

Orcas Island by Georender is one of these rare software titles that not only give you some extra buildings in your flight simulator, or just some nice textures. Orcas Island is, like all of Richard Goldstein's creations, a work of art. It provides you with a little piece of 'almost real' landscape in your simulator. An area that lets you imagine you are actually there. It will let you 'hear' the silence on a foggy Sunday morning. It will allow you to hang over the fence at the slumbering airport, taking in the surrounding nature.... until the sound of an airplane engine wakes you up. We just thought we needed to give Richard’s latest ‘discovery’ its own name. What we are talking about are his new, wonderfully realistic, animated objects ! As you will see when flying around the islands there are quite a few of them. Fishermen, Orca’s and other objects. Richard has made sure they are not detrimental to the frame rates of the sim.

These ‘people’ and animals are a big step forward in adding additional realism to the airports and surrounding landscapes and no doubt in future we will see more of these ‘characters’ populating the Georender sceneries and our FS world in general.
