LOVE TRACKIR!!
I have used TrackIR for years. In fact, I still have the same one that I bought originally about five or six years ago. It still works perfectly, even though it is TrackIR4 (with IR5 software).
It isn't really a small initial cost, but when you consider that it will give many years of service, it breaks down to a very small investment for such an awesome advantage within the beautiful virtual cockpits that come with modern simulations like the PMDG 737NGX and Carenado or Milviz GA aircraft or even military aircraft like the Iris F-15.
I recommend that, if possible, you also buy the "Trackclip Pro". Otherwise sunlight or ambient light can effect the smooth operation of the TrackIR sensor. The "Trackclip Pro" uses LED lights instead of the reflectors. Although the standard reflectors are effective, the "Trackclip Pro" gives totally error-free head tracking.
Buy TrackIR, get comfortable with it, and you will never sim any other way. I promise you that. |

If you are a flight simulator enthusiast that uses the virtual cockpit extensively--or if you fly combat simulators, this is for you. Setup took me 5 minutes, and I couldn't be happier! |
