    F/A-18 Hornet details:
    The US and RAAF FA-18 Hornet Military add-on aircraft package is specifically designed for use with MSFS 2004 and has been re-created with "extreme-detail" in mind. With the ease of the Self-Install file, you can quickly load the new Hornet's into your flight simulator. This FSDS V2 designed aircraft model is an attempt at capturing the essence of the curves, lines, and intricate animations of the original F/A-18 Hornets.

    The US and RAAF FA-18 Hornet Military Pack 1.0 includes several F/A-18 models representing US Navy and Marine Squadrons, as well as several of the Australian RAAF Squadrons. This package features both F/A-18/C and F/A-18/D variations dressed in several weapons configurations.

    F/A-18 Hornet versions:
    Aircraft included in this package are from the following US Squadrons:

    • USN VFA-81 "Sunliners" Attack Fighter Squadron
    • USN VFA-82 "Marauders" Attack Fighter Squadron
    • USN VFA-86 "Sidewinders" Attack Fighter Squadron
    • USN Naval Strike and Air Warfare Centre (NSAWC)

    F/A-18 Hornet Panel details:
    Functionality, attention to detail and recreating the "real feel" of a fighter cockpit has been aerialfoundry's focus in the design of the Hornet's 2D panel and virtual cockpit (VC). Original gauges are visible and accessible through the VC, which is wrapped in original textures that cover every part of this cockpit giving an extraordinary depth to this VC.

    The "Pilot's Point of View" in the single seat VC seats the virtual pilot comfortably with clear vision in the aircraft and allows pilots taking the tandem seat versions up, to experience and take the controls from "rear seat".

    The 2D panel features side and centre consoles, three colour Heads Up Display (HUD) and various original gauges throughout the panel including Hornet style engine management readout.

    Hi everyone this F18 is a very good model and detailed aswell great to fly and one of the best models around to have for your flight sim game

    Another great package from Aerialfoundry. Many different weapons layouts on many different paint schemes. A blast to launch and recover from any aircraft carrier. I suffered a slow frame rate on the 2 seater variant but just awsome otherwise. The IFR capibilities of this aircraft is something to be desired, very hard to fly with the guages provided "confusing". Over all, a must to add to your military aircraft collection.

    Great flight model, nice 2D VC panels. If you like the F-18 this is a must have! Only bad thing I found with this package is the ADI. It is the same type as the ADI in Janes F-18. It has no picth ladder and makes IMC flight difficult even though aircraft has HUD. I changed out the HUD and ADI from other aircraft (DSB's T-45 ADI) Great F-18 I only expect capt sim to come out with a better example (but that will be some time). Very well done!

    Escellent visual model, excellent flight model, excellent VC and 2D panel. I only have one issue, I would like to see a model with external tanks only, and the landing gear, if you look at the real thing, the landing gear are a little too small, the airframe sits to low to the ground. Anyway, other than that, best F/A-18 model I've ever seen.
