Bonaire is a small island in the Southern Caribbean and is a popular holiday destination among surfers and divers, thanks to its clear water and magnificent coral reefs. First colonised by the Spanish, in 1636 it was occupied by the Netherlands which it still belongs to today.

Exactly 300 years later, the first airport was built by the Dutch. It served as a hub for American forces in the Second World War, which it was too small for, though. Therefore, a new airport was constructed – “Flamingo Airport” was born. Today, this airport operates several short-haul flights across the Caribbean, and serves as a stopover for the Dutch KLM on long-haul flights.

This scenery offers a highly detailed recreation of Flamingo International Airport (BON / TNCB) near the city of Kralendijk on Bonaire.

Based on thousands of on-site images, highly detailed & true to original building models and high-resolution textures were created. Realistic and dynamic night lighting, custom taxiway signage and passenger animations bring the airport to a virtual life.

Really Great Airport! I love the animations included in this scenery as it makes the airport feel alive. The performance on the sim is really good as well. I highly recommend this airport.

Ein Wahnsinns Add-On! Mehr gibt es da schon eigentlich nicht zu sagen. Da habe ich jetzt nicht mit gerechnet, dass dieser Airport derart detailverliebt ist. Der Knaller sind die virtuellen Fluggäste am und im Flughafen. Tolle Umsetzung und es kommt schon richtiges Urlaubsfeeling auf. Aerosoft hat mit dieser Szenerie etwas richtig feines, mit ganz viel Atmosphäre auf den Markt gebracht. Gerade die kleinen Airports in der Karibik haben es mir angetan. Bitte mehr davon. Zum Inselhüpfen gibt es viel zu wenig qualitativ hochwertige Szenerien. Es gibt zwar einige im Freeware Bereich, die einem Bonaire nicht das Wasser reichen. Für so etwas no ich gerne bereit mein sauer verdientes zu opfern. Mit den verlangten 12 Euro macht man nichts verkehrt. Dieser Flugplatz ist jeden Cent wert und der Designer Jo Erlend Sund hat hier wirklich eine tolle Szenerie abgeliefert. Einzig das Asobo es immer noch nicht geschissen kriegt, vernünftige Watermasks zu implementieren ist ärgerlich. Wenn zu diesem Flugplatz irgendwann noch mal ein türkisblaues karibisches Meer hinzukommt, dann wäre der Gesamteindruck mit Sicherheit absolut grandios. Also der Kauf lohnt sich definitiv und ich bin mehr als angenehm überrascht. Gut gemacht Aerosoft und gerne mehr davon. Bahamas ..... das wäre doch was. Gruß Olaf
