Anti-Piracy Warning

Protecting Your Purchase

The flight simulation add-ons you are purchasing are legally protected and copyrighted on an international level. This ensures that the creators' rights are upheld and their innovative work is safeguarded.

Why Piracy Hurts Everyone

Piracy undermines the dedication and creativity of developers. When you download or distribute pirated add-ons, it impacts the creators' ability to continue producing high-quality content. This affects the entire community by reducing the availability of new features and updates.

Consequences of Piracy

  • Legal Risks: Engaging in piracy can lead to severe legal consequences, including fines and prosecution.
  • Security Threats: Pirated software often carries malware, risking your personal data and system security.
  • Lack of Support: Unauthorized copies do not receive official support or updates, leading to potential issues and vulnerabilities.

How You Can Help

  1. Purchase Legitimately: Always buy add-ons from authorized sellers like SimMarket to ensure you receive authentic products.
  2. Report Piracy: If you encounter pirated add-ons, report them to the authorities or the original creators.
  3. Educate Others: Spread awareness about the negative impacts of piracy and encourage others to support developers by purchasing legitimate copies.

Thank you for supporting the flight simulation community and contributing to a fair and innovative marketplace.

Details

Rothera is undeniably one of the most remarkable locations in Antarctica. Set on a rocky outcrop beneath massive glaciers and mountains, the station is bordered by sea on three sides, with the peaks of the Antarctic Peninsula stretching across the eastern horizon.

Its signature runway sits snugly between the station hangars and the sea at both ends, complete with a road crossing and working traffic lights, reminiscent of a colder, more secluded Gibraltar.

To complement the main station, this package also includes two remote British field outposts further south: Fossil Bluff and Sky Blu. Together, these three locations provide an authentic setting for polar operations, perfectly suited to aircraft like the Twin Otter.

FEATURES

  • Highly detailed and up-to-date rendition of Rothera Research Station
  • Includes recent additions such as the Discovery Building and new runway lighting
  • New terrain techniques developed for this add-on, adding 3D detail to groomed skiways, rocks and snow around the featured locations
  • Extensive animations including wildlife, vehicles, boats and people
  • Custom sounds for animals and vehicles
  • Detailed glacier cliffs dropping dramatically into the sea around Rothera
  • Hundreds of thousands of animated icebergs around the base, occasionally creating some interesting situations on approach
  • Remote automated monitoring stations, marked as POIs for challenging field trips and rough landings
  • Sky Blu and Fossil Bluff with custom models and improved local terrain imagery and elevation data
  • Emergency glacier airstrip above Rothera for realistic operations
  • Carefully crafted local terrain that blends naturally with the surrounding default landscape
  • State-of-the-art manual with dozens of pages of insider knowledge on flying in Antarctica, plus flight plans and simple charts
