Bonaire is a small island in the Southern Caribbean and is a popular holiday destination among surfers and divers, thanks to its clear water and magnificent coral reefs. First colonised by the Spanish, in 1636 it was occupied by the Netherlands which it still belongs to today.
Exactly 300 years later, the first airport was built by the Dutch. It served as a hub for American forces in the Second World War, which it was too small for, though. Therefore, a new airport was constructed – “Flamingo Airport” was born. Today, this airport operates several short-haul flights across the Caribbean, and serves as a stopover for the Dutch KLM on long-haul flights.
This scenery offers a highly detailed recreation of Flamingo International Airport (BON / TNCB) near the city of Kralendijk on Bonaire. The developer took thousands of photos at the location and used those to create the accurate building models and high-resolution textures. Custom lights even at night, animated palm trees and static aircraft bring this airport to a virtual life. Thanks to latest technology, optimal visuals and performance are possible.
So, pack your surfboard and visit Bonaire!

Well worth adding to Flight Simulator, Good Detailed Airport, highly detailed !
Fairly easy on Frame Rates too !
Also recommenced Curacao Intl. Airport (TNCC) as well, its only a 15 minute flight away !!
One word...STELLAR!!! And flying a MD11 there was exhilarating. For a small airport it certainly packs a good punch. You can get a real appreciation for the level of detail by VFR(ing)it.
I live in Aruba a neighboring island and often fly between the other islands of Bonaire and Curacao (also known as the ABC islands). In real life I have been several times to this TNCB airport as well and must say that the level of detail is not just impressive but in my case surprisingly easy on the frame rates as well (and I do not have the latest PC, video card etc). I really enjoyed the photo-real surrounding Kralendijk (Capital) as well especially on approach to the usual runway 10 you will have some eye candy instead of just the airport. If there is anything to criticize is that Klein (Small) Bonaire looks very simple compared to the rest of the island. It is a popular visual reference for the pilots on the approach and while it does not have anything in real life, just a photo-real update would have done just fine. Despite this, there is no way I would not give this scenery a full 5 stars; certainly worth it's price. I hope Aruba and Curacao could follow and hope they could include full photo-real textures of the island.
I haven't purchased this yet and it tells me that I have to start moving to FSX/P3D soon, but this looks amazing!
I've worked at this airport for a while now and the detail included in this package is just surreal! I'll be honest that I never thought Aerosoft would have even considered Bonaire as one of their projects and for them to have done it I am highly appreciative. Unfortunately it's not available for FS9 but I guess it's time that we must look to the future.
Whenever I'm capable of switching to FSX/P3D, this scenery will be the first purchased and installed! Again thank you for your work. If Aruba and Curaçao are also planned, they are more than welcome. But I'm glad Bonaire got a chance to shine first! I do hope this scenery will be considered for updates as soon as the new renovations, Terminal, tower etc have been completed.
Keep up the good work to everyone part of the Aerosoft team. You guys are awesome!
