Possible wind shear due to its location right on a cliff line, no instrument landing system and a steep turn before the final approach – Funchal Madeira is considered a very demanding airport.

The add-on Madeira X Evolution is a challenge for virtual pilots to prove their landing skills. Besides the main airport at Funchal, featuring lots of details with the terminal being in the state of spring 2016, we´ve also included the oldest airport of the archipelago on Porto Santo.

The picturesque archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean was recreated with photo realistic textures, custom height mesh and extensive Autogen. Bridges, wind turbines, and more detailed VFR objects are as beneficial for immersion as the dynamic traffic and animations, e.g. for the wind hoses. Additionally, Madeira X Evolution features SODE 3D dynamic lead-in lighting.

The add-on is also compatible with AI Traffic, GSX and SODE v1.4.2.

As with nearly all of my Aerosoft products (and all of the various developers contained within) this is a beautiful scenery. I’m a little disappointed with the smaller amount of custom autogen but the most important things are definitely present and look great. No frame loss even with high-ish settings and really high quality aircraft. I just wish they would’ve somehow make air stairs work with parked planes when no jetways are around like at this airport. The landing isn’t as difficult as I expected. The lead in lights help a bunch at night on that curvy final approach.

Newly bought. Teted with P3D 4.5 HF3 on i7 3,3 Ghz 4 cores, 16 GB RAM, RTX3060. Sim settings normal to dense also with ASP3. FPS keeps on the level 50-70 at iFly 737. No crashes. Airport beautifully modelled,with many eye candy details, also very good island presentation. There are some details missing as far as I remember this place but definitely worth buying - provides convincing impression of real flying.

bonjour je viens d'acheter cet aéroport au départ les avions étaient à un mètre du sol mais après avoir coché les bonnes cases dans le configurateur fourni avec l'add on je n'ai plus ce problème je donne la note de 4 étoiles cordialement

This product has a serious AFCAD problem. I keep on hitting on some invisible objects on the runway, and from both ends of the runway 5 and 23. Also the same when pushing back from the parking ramp. It's a nice design though, but that problem is seriously annoying. Please do fix it to make the scenery fully enjoyable. Thanks

Ich habe mir dieses Produkt im Rahmen eines Rabattangebotes direkt bei AS geholt, installiert (ich nutze P3D V3.4 HF 3) und musste erst einmal mit dem Heli die Umgebung erkunden... und was muss ich sehen? Es entspricht ganz meinen Erwartungen! Performance ist in Ordnung (habe "normale" Hardware: I7-4790, GTX980) und die vielen Details (inklusive der umherfliegenden Vögel) machen diese Szenerie zu meinen persönlichen Favoriten. Da ich Orbx nutze (Base, Vector, Europe_LC), dachte ich, ich müsste noch nachjustieren, aber anscheinend macht der aktuelle Installer nun alles von Haus aus richtig! Zumindest musste ich nicht mehr nachjustieren (obwohl im beiliegenden Manual im Falle von Problemen mit Orbx-Produkten direkt darauf hingewiesen wird, welche Dateien zu deaktivieren sind). Also: wenn's nicht so aussieht wie in den Reviews, Handbuch studieren). Für mich verdient dieses Produkt 5 Sterne! Auch, wenn es im Standard relativ "nackt" aussieht, so wird es doch mit virtuellem Traffic wieder lebendiger. Es lohnt sich auch die Insel mit einem kleinen Flieger oder Heli zu erkunden....

Du grand n'importe quoi! 3 eme version et toujours des crashs inexpliqués en bout de piste et l'AES inutilisable car les véhicules et le personnel sont 10 m au dessus de l'avion!!!!

First i would like to say that this scenery is a very nice place to go! Also the scenery is nice made by mkstudios for this a true 5 stars.. ''Something else to know'' When i first installed this product the scenery wasnt completely correct functioning. I did not have taxi lines and yelow parking spot lines. after searching on the forums i found out what was the problem. '''this scenery is NOT compatible with 'p3dv3' the scenery is compatible with ''p3dv3.4'' I was using p3dv3.3.5 when first installed and that caused the problem! A nice scenery but be aware to have the correct p3d version!!!

Seit dem FSX fliege ich Madeira super gerne an. Vor allem mit komplexeren Flugzeugen wie die PMDG oder seit neuestem auch FSL. Madeira bietet hier eine wahre Herausforderungen. Mit den richtigen Wettertools ist dieser Flughafen zum Üben absolute klasse. Die alte Szenerie sieht im P3D v3 einfach nur schrecklich aus. Verwaschene Texturen und andere Fehler, die einfach den Spaß an der Szenerie geraubt haben. Umso schöner, dass MK Studios sich dessen angenommen hat und in meinen Augen ein wahres Meisterwerk gezaubert haben. Die Runwaytexturen sind im P3D super scharf, das 3D Gras ist besser als bei so mancher Konkurrenz und die Beleuchtung ist klasse. Performancetechnisch ist Madeira sehr gut, hohe FPS und geringer VAS. Das Luftbild ist meiner Meinung nach ok. Klar, könnte es etwas schärfer sein und hier und da schöner, aber alles in allem eine gute Lösung. Für mich ist bis jetzt Madeira eine der besten Szenerien im Jahre 2017. Zu Porto Santo kann ich nicht wirklich so viel sagen, außer, dass es wohl die gleiche Szenerie ist, wie schon in der alten Version. Ob hier nochmal nachgebessert wird, weiß ich nicht. Mir ist das ehrlich gesagt auch egal, da ich diesen Flughafen wohl eh nie anfliegen werde. Es ist ein guter Orientierungspunkt, das war es aber auch schon wieder. Wer die alte Szeniere im P3D nutzt, oder noch gar keine Version von Madeira besitzt sollte hier zuschlagen. Besser geht es für Madeira nun wirklich nicht.
