Munich "Franz Josef Strauss" Airport, is located 28.5 km (17.7 mi) northeast of Munich, Germany, and is a hub for Lufthansa and Star Alliance partner airlines. Munich Airport is the second busiest airport in Germany in terms of passenger traffic, behind Frankfurt Airport while it is the world`s 14th busiest airport in terms of international passenger traffic, behind Kuala Lumpur International Airport and the 27th busiest airport in the world.
In 2009, it was named the 2nd "Best Airport in Europe" and fifth-best in the world by Skytrax, the air transport research company.
The airports ground texture is based on a high detailed areal image. All buildings, lighting systems, navigation beacons have been modeled to the smallest of details including all buildings and airport institutions. Its docking systems and all features of this airport are shown in an up to date virtual replica for FSX and FS9. Countless static and dynamic objects enhance the flair of a busy mega airport.

Unfortunately, no matter what I rie to do to fix this I could not get the AI traffic to taxi on the taxiways. The AI Traffic would roll over the grass misaligned with the taxiways markings and it looked lame.
Very nice airport package lot's of detail in and around the airport and excellent night textures aswell very happy with this scenery package so well done to the aerosoft scenery team on yet another fantastic package defo 5star's for this very happy ;) :)
There is something about this whole German Airports series that Aerosoft seem to stick with. It's always good for the time being when its released but you never go wow or heck, you don't never even know which german airport you are at! They all seem to look the same, maybe thats a real life mystery or just the blend textures. But for me German Airports has always been such a grey experience. The textures are pale, the light and shadows and pale, the grass textures look pale. Everything is just so pale! Don't get me wrong, I love pale, if it's done correctly. This version of Munich is also pale, but a bit less pale than the average German Airport. It's by far my favorite of them. The airport has a layout that makes it perfect for AI-traffic, it always seems to work good. The models are good and the FPS load is great. But it's still pale. If I feel like " oh boy oh boy lets play some flight simulator!" I would never fly from or to Munich. If I however has a weekend of airline flying and need to go somewhere that Munich can provide I would drink my coffee and say "huh, remembered this place to be a bit more pale, great for being German Airports", then I would take off to a better looking place. So to summarize; great if you are virtual airline pilot or/and has a lot of AI, well if you fly for Lufthansa you probably don't even have a choice. .. not that good if you love the esthetics and half the experience is the visuals, like it is for me.
I am very pleased with this scenery. The airport is amazing; from the elevated and depressed ground features, the round-abouts, buildings, transportation in a whole and textures. The day and night textures are exceptional as well...In my opinion this looks better or just as good as Mega Airport Frankfurt, but that's just my opinion. Get it!
Stunning attention to detail and lots of eye candy. Soaring over the airport (be sure you have a traffic addon!) at dawn in a trike at 1000ft is pure pleasure.
Apart from the usual important stuff that many other commerncial airports now do well, like hq building modelling and texturing (although only flat glas textures, no 3d see through like on some newer releases), the thing that stands out are the amazingly smooth moving airport vehicles and the traffic on the roads.
Detailed modelled with working underpassage roads and railway tracks, vehicles driving in correct speeds, trucks and buses even use turn signals and the trains stop and start with accurate acceleration at the station.
Also frame rate friendly considering the detail level.
For VFR flyers (IFR accuracy not tested) that visually like a 'feel there' airport, this one is highly recommended!
Very well made, including underpassage roads with the airport traffic passing under the taxiways. The installer automatically detects and disables the EDDM files from the German Arports 1 package, so you do not need to worry about doubles. And it is lighter than Mega Airport Frankfurt. A MUST for EDDM lovers !
